It would be a struggle to try and do a cross country race on it though.

I don't race, I certainly wouldn't want to race off road

Anyone else here doing the ride London 100? I'm guessing I'm not the only one

I've no idea how I'm going to get there or back - I'm out in west London and need to get to the Olympic park for 6.50, so no idea how that's going to work on a Sunday morning. Looks like quite a trek on the bike as well!

bike stand is only £30 , tempted at that, being as bike stands seem to go for approx. £100?

I paid £40 for one that looks very similar to that, and mine is OK. I reckon it'd be alright.

I'd be wary of the track pump. I got one from Lidl last time round and it died within a week. Complete waste of money.

Hi lads i got some advice for a first road bike a few months ago and im ready to get one but problem is the Btwin Triban 3 has been out of stock for ages. Any idea what is going on with it?

Also there is a local bike store with a Giant Defy 1 that looks really nice but a lot more than I was planning to spend. It worth the extra to a novice?

Whereabouts are you? Have you called your local decathlon? I was in the Warrington store yesterday and they had plenty of the red triban 3s in store.

A defy 1 is quite a big step up from the triban 3. It's a good bike and it could be a good buy, but you'd have to be that bit surer that you were going to get your money's worth.

3 weeks into a bruised coccyx from a high speed, huge pot-hole / my arse collision. Sitting is a pain in the, well, arse which doesnt help when driving a desk all day. Sleeping is not much better, due to the throbbing dull ache.

Be careful out there kids, the pot hole monsters are everywhere...

Apparently I'm not particularly delicate when negotiating potholes. So I've been told by people I ride with anyway.

I've seen that kit next to my aldi kit.
it's the same except mine is red.

From what I've seen you mostly bunny hop them or swerve at the last moment!
