** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

I think FTP is on the cards at some point.

I guess we'll see when the next subscriber numbers come out how soon that might be.

My guess is that they want to milk it for more whilst either working on a proper sequel/replacement, they'd never publicly acknowledge the decline of an MMO though that'd be gaming suicide.

It still has a very healthy population, but they know they have a lot of farmer/bot accounts and a lot of people with multiple accounts.

I tried out Mists and our guild has pretty much died out, less and less of a resurgence with every expansion, guess we've all grown out of it.

I for one don't miss the endless grind and being stuck on a poorly balanced pvp server because my friends were there, haven't played in over a year and glad of it now Blizzard are trying to squeeze the last bit of revenue from a dwindling playerbase =\

It really is a shame, what was a great game is slowly dying out as it feels necessary to have more and more addons and stats to build

that's the problem with the way they've made the game Rob.

Personally i'm hoping they buy the Ultima Online IP from EA and do a client for it, based on it's STR/DEX/INT system. No need for levels or grind ever!

I can dream.. never happen but inside my head :)

No! No no no no NO!!!!

They always claimed they would never pull this ****! Damn you Blizzard!

Doesn't effect me in the slightest if its just cosmetic **** and exp boosts for kids that dont want to learn a class. I have all the looms and the ability to do a jack of all trades. (I can learn pretty much any class to a decent standard) the only thing thatll bother me is if it is buyable PvP/Raiding gear... I don't like micro transactions dont get me wrong but if it doesnt effect my game it doesn't matter. EA are trash for micro transactions and they have learnt that the hard way... hopefully blizzard wise up drastically.

Just cancelled my sub.

Looking forward to the next expansion, have done just about everything I can in the current one aside from hardcore raiding (LFR is more than enough for me). And 154k gold ready for the next installment.

^^ love the "Don't want to learn a class" comment, bitter bitter bitter. I think they'll learn it just as well in half the time played doing mindless PVE.

Blizzard are wising up, that's why they're adding it.

That's a shame, LFR really has nothing on 10 man N and HC.

The guild I raid with got Ji-Kun down today, making me 6/12, was 3/12 :P

I agree, I have just started doing ToT 10man and its far better than LFR. We are stuck on horridan (dino) it seems to be the last gate/final stage we get stuck

That will be next, an in-game cash shop (regardless if its just xp boost pots at this time) on top of a sub is something blizzard said they would never implement. WoW will soon be a B2W game, shame.

Get the Warbears down first, if you can get past the poison and frozen orb doors, the last one should be easier. We have the ranged DPS and healers a bit away from the door with the off tank inbetween to pick up the adds, this keeps more control, then mark the warbears and nuke down one at a time.

are there any guilds out there now with a few OcUK people on?

mine is dying a slow death, and if i dont find another soon it will probably mean i cancel my sub....

I'd also recommend sticking 1 dps with good stuns/interrupts on the flamecasters that come out the 4th door, their fireballs do some nasty damage.

yeah well I am a Druid Healer (Shiftclart) and ive been told I am doing enough for the raid its just seems to be the rest of the group. I will be on again at 7pm to get this boss down - what do people think of the eldar council or the next boss?

After over a year of not playing, got given the MOP CD's from a friend (unopened) so started playing again and subbed back up, but after levelling 1 of the 5 characters up to lvl90 im now board again and not played since (all characters are lvl85), the server im on is not even half as populated as it was the last time i played, which i guess is a sign of the times, the journey from lvl85 to lvl90 is quite short lived (imo), do i want to repeat the same quests another 4 times to get the other characters up to lvl90, probably not if i am honest.

Looks like im going to cancel the subscription, as i cannot justify paying every month, when i have lost interest, sad times as i thought it would re-kindle the fun times again, but looks like the fun was short lived and i realised why i had stopped playing previously.

Hit me a message thru trust and I can advise or help with any issues you guys are having =]

In game Store now announced

Blizzard said:
Thanks for all the feedback so far, everyone. We’re still pretty early in the exploration process, but we did want to go into more detail about our rationale for introducing an in-game store, as well as provide some insight into what you might ultimately see available there.

For players who are already interested in the in-game items we offer, such as Pet Store pets and mounts, the benefits of an in-game store are pretty clear. We think everyone would appreciate the convenience of being able to make such purchases without having to leave the game, and ultimately that’s our long-term goal for the system, though there’s quite a bit of work involved in retrofitting those existing items into the new system.

First, we’ll be testing the in-game store with some new kinds of items we’re looking into introducing (in Asian regions, at the outset) based on player feedback: specifically, an experience buff to assist with the leveling process, as well as an alternate way to acquire Lesser Charms of Good Fortune. We’ve had a lot of requests from players in different regions for convenience-oriented items such as these, and as with other new ideas we’ve introduced as WoW has evolved—including Pet Store pets, mounts, and more—your feedback plays a hugely important part in determining what we add to the game.

Ultimately it’s still too early in the process to make any final determinations about our plans, but in the meantime, we hope you’ll check out the in-game store once it’s implemented on the PTR and let us know what you think.

Prepare for the end is nigh comments, so far they have only announced the xp boost and being able to buy elder charms in the store but no doubt there will be more to come before the patch launches.

Also as they are trialling it to cater to the asian market it will be interesting to see if this eventually leads to a proper pay to win mentality, like Diablo's RMAH etc etc
