lol tvlicensing

How do you propose that you delay a live feed by 10mins without the use of recording that live feed? :p
technically it's not live anyway as there's always a delay as the signals don't move instantly from the broadcast into your tv and if they are passed through a tv cable/sky service usually they are even futher behind.

back when TV's weren't digital anyway I'm guessing it's the same.

You could have 2 Tv's in 2 different rooms with the same program and one would be slightly behind the other and sound like an echo

Why did you ignore previous letters? It won't make it go away.

If i write to them they will know who I am and I do not want them to know my identity it is non of there business who I am aslong as I do not own a tv license or need one

Fine, let you and them argue it out in court then. Thats what its there for, afterall.

Well they clearly are (OP is my example lol). You and others may not like it but simply informing them if you don't have a TV stops them hassling you like the OP is finding.

I can't deciper the OP's posts, so I can't tell if he is, or isn't, breaking the law.

You're right that contacting TV Licensing stops the hassling, but I'm trying to explain why people don't want to.

There's some funny encounters with TVL staff on YT, people keep a camera near the door to film them:D

If you are truly doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about

Why don't we install cameras in our homes and give direct access to police. We're doing nothing wrong so we have nothing to worry about:D

that was when I lived with my wife before I split up and moved out heress a screenshot of my virgin media account.

We kept getting these in our first year of Uni, but none of us had TVs. One drunken night we printed a picture of a TV show off, taped it to the front of the microwave, took a pic and sent it back to TV Licensing with a post it note asking if we needed to pay. Never heard back from them.

Hopefully we made somebody's mundane day a little funnier. :)

That is why i said you must have sold your TV ;)

So you've ignored previous letters and now getting in a rant when they are pushing for an answer?

Why not just write them a letter and tell them that you don't have a TV? Why create stress for something that'll take minutes to sort out?

Because when you call them to tell them this they'll ask for your name etc which then gives them grounds to take you to court as you are entering a verbal contract without knowing.

OP ignore them, if they don't have a name then they can't do ****. Besides I've heard of people calling them to tell them they have no TV and within 3 months the threatening letters start again.

TV license is a scam, pure and simple, you are being politely robbed.

Erm?!

They have my details because I signed what I thought was a warranty slip in the shop when I bought a TV last year.

They sent me letters which I ignored, they've given up now I think.

I don't watch TV so they can wee off. If they ever come a knocking I'll order them to leave.
