Not a happy bunny!!

Had a brilliant 30 mile blast this evening, I know I was at 21.4mph average by the time I got home.....

.....and my stupid Garmin 500 failed to record it properly. It has the activity, but the file is 0 bytes.

Thanks Garmin, really appreciate it!

I feel your pain. Happened to me a few weeks ago after a 68 mile jaunt. ****ed me off all weekend! Particularly as I had gone balls out on a few segments. I tried all sorts to recover it but to no avail.
21.4 is some average - nice one.

Only 18mph for me tonight on my 30 but please with my weekend as I got a steady 80 in yesterday in the heat.

Excellent news; my Continental Four Season tyres have arrived, so hopefully punctures won't be a feature of the DD for me! I guess the important thing is for the weather to stay pleasant. I don't really want to take any extra clothing with me if I can avoid it, as it'll be annoying to carry on the way back. :)

my size large Aeron race bib shorts turned up today.. i look a right tit in them :)
seems to fit ok, its a bit tight on the legs but i suppose they're ment to be, il give em a try in the morning.. very early while noones about lol

managed to get out in them for the first time today for a couple of miles and they seemed quite comfy, need a new pair of tyres before i go more than a mile from home though, i also need to fix the seatpost as its not being gripped properly so it twists and it needs a jubilee clip to keep it up :(

Ah joy, my first saddle sore(s). Pair popped up next to each other. Noticed after 40 mins on on the rollers and I jumped in the shower

Best treatment (not medical advice) just keep clean and dry and maybe take a day or two off...?

Does shaving down there help or not, I'd have thought you end up with more stubbly regrowth which would increase chances of an in-growing hair compared to eau natural?

That doesnt look too bad to me. Make sure that whatever cut it is not still embedded in there. If you have an old punctured tube lying around, you could cut a bit off it and place it in the inside of the tyre over the damaged area. It would probably be fine to ride anyway though.

Try some carbon assembly paste. It's designed to give a bit more friction between a carbon frame and a carbon seatpost so that you dont need to use too much clamping force on the post.

lol slicks yo.
is that black mark where something has shredded the tyre slightly? or is it the innertube on the other side lmfao?

shredded tyre, my dad gave me the bike.. he put it together with some spare parts he had kicking around so its a bit 'ghetto' :p

ok ta for that, i think over the life of the bike (10 years old) its been constantly done up as tight as it can so the allen key bolt has started rounding off, so i got to find a new bolt as well :/

IMO stem is stem is stem, just get one you like the look of that is of appropriate length and angle. There is very little that can be done to a small length of tube that holds your bars in place. CF ones are barely lighter than alloy ones and not necessarily stiffer.

You have to laugh at the price of cockpits offered by the likes of Zipp and ENVE!

Thanks Shamrock that's a good point, ill give the Planet X one a try then and see how it feels!
