I don't believe any United supporter actually expects us to sign Fabregas but if nothing else it's enjoyable to see how worried the Arsenal supporters are (they're getting fairly insulting with their responses to the speculation)

It's true. Arsenal get 50% of any profit on ay Cesc's transfer. There's a buy back clause of £25m, but he has to want to come back.

First that's different to what people have been saying (some say 50%, some say 50% of profit) and second, source?
RE: the Higuain transfer, apparently Real Madrid let him talk contracts with a couple clubs after agreeing a value then upped the value after he had decided which is why it has stalled. That would kind of make sense of why we have made a bid for Suarez (although not sure if it is just posturing).
It's 50% of the profit, 50% of the fee would have made no sense to Barca. Several journalists confirm that, along with the buy back clause. John Cross for example (currently on tour with Arsenal)

This thread is full of it which just makes for tiresome reading. People bandying about figures for salaries, fees and buyout clauses like they're a top dog agent or something, it's just dumb.

This thread wouldn't be half as big if Twitter didn't exist.
Going on strike when he's suspended until the end of September? What's that going to achieve? He'll be fined for not showing up to training and come the 1st September when there's no hope of a move he'll be back.
He'll go if we get a decent offer. The club realistically know that he's off this time next year anyway so it's about getting the best possible deal for him (not simply the cash but where he's going, the timing of it and who's available to replace him).
I'm not concerned about him kicking up a fuss. I don't think he'll do it, I don't see what it'll achieve and I don't think it would effect his performances on the pitch if he's not sold either.
1 + 2 + 3 = Fabregas back to Arsenal!

But saying that, people should be acting less like they are fact.
Why? He's constently shown that he doesn't care what people think, numero uno is all that matters (well his family's well being). I think he would quite easily not turn up for training etc etc. I note he has been included in our squad for Australia we'll see if he turns up for that shall we.
