Bought this today and can see myself having a b it of fun with it once I buy a 360 controller.

Probably a silly question but how do I find out if Steam has installed the latest update?

Will most of the popular mods be fine with the latest update installed?

Got this in the steam sale too, just need to make a bracket for my racing wheel so that's it's more horizontal than vertical :-)

I found using 360 controller difficult, much easier using keyboard.

Keep occasionally getting low air pressure and have to wait for absolutely ages before I can pull away again and it's really frustrating. This normal?

Proper brake simulation got added in the latest patch. Try to avoid using the brakes as an on-off switch, otherwise turn off the sim brakes option. The retarder and exhaust brake may help you save the friction brakes for big stops.

That's a little odd. I've only seen something similar once after a ferry trip where I had some damage.

I enjoy it. I love games where I can destroy everyone in it if I want.. but this games a nice change of pace.. nice and relaxed except I actually road raged at a car and had to remind myself its a game. Stupid red car taking forever to turn.. wound me up.

Is there a post in here with the best mods?

I've tweaked the AA in my catalyst control center.. but the graphics still seem like they're lacking.

Any hi res texture mods?

What do the newbies think of this game, not fussed about how much you paid for it but what would you consider its bad points or things that can be improved?

Not a noob but haven't loaded this up in ages because it's too easy after a while. They need to work on the cities badly, driving an artic through a big city should be a challenge not just a few sets of traffic lights. There's about 2 yards that are tight to turn in but apart than that there are no other obstacles. Not saying it's possible to accurately recreate every city, but I'd like more of a challenge.
