Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

What do the newbies think of this game, not fussed about how much you paid for it but what would you consider its bad points or things that can be improved?

Its ok, wanted to start a business but its going to take a lot of drive grinding to get close to enough money to buy my first truck. Ive had a few issues, when pulling out of a tight corner you always get a car speed along and drive straight into you or doesn't leave you any room to make the corner and you get a fine. I was just in Amsterdam with repeaters saying 50 everywhere, I was doing 30 and got a speeding fine. I find parking impossible so started to skip it. Islands in England are near impossible to use as im always getting caught on fences and never having room to maneuver around due to traffic.

It feels great taking a corner too fast and getting it on two wheels. Trying to keep control is another thing altogether

+ 1 to AI. had an AI overtake a truck on a blind hill, as I came over the crest he slammed straight into me, cost me £23k, just a tad frustrating.

Nope but there is a mod with plans to add that in. http://www.moddb.com/mods/euro-truck-simulator-2-multiplayer

There is plans to add multiplayer officially but that is for the successor to ETS2, World of Trucks.

As above, recently bought this (already torrented and felt it was worth buying!)

Cities are ridiculously easy. Are there any custom maps with more complex cities added?

I think it is worth it as it opens up the game earlier on. The first loan you can get is easily repayable.

The only downside is that if you are a bad driver and always end up with damage on your vehicle/load, expect repair bills to eat up all of your money.

I waited for the bank to offer me their 320k loan then upgraded the garage, bought 2 trucks, hired 2 drivers and now only do jobs in other peoples trucks!

If you don't run up big repair bills then it's fine. Otherwise a couple of big accidents will put you into debt very quickly.
