**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I think a lot of people forget the fact that consoles have exclusives and that some people prefer some games over others. I don't care how powerful the console is, if it's getting the games I want, that's the one I'll go with :p never understood this whole "lol my console is better than yours, you made the wrong choice" attitude some have.
 
It is a little odd that 2 of the biggest selling points for the PS4 don't gel at all. It is more powerful but it has every indie game ever made, games that won't use that power.

XO isn't much better mind. Pushing the kinect but we haven't seen how mainstream games like titanfall will use it.
 
No, the release date was not a issue. Theres pro's and cons to either console im just finding it hard to weight them up

PS4 Pro's:
-i kind of fancy a change (coming from Xbox 360)
-Better specs (the difference who knows?)
-better interface IMO
-PS+ better value?
-Most people i know will be getting it.. (not the close friends i play with though, those are waiting just like me to make a group decision)
-Cheaper

Xbox pros :
-Free FIFA (cuts price gap slightly)
- Potentially more for your money if you want kinnect (i dont) and what it has to offer apps etc?
-Dedicated servers, big deal as im a big COD fan
- Controller
- Potential better exclusives

But its the whole Online factor of the Xbox which has thrown me the most, 360 IMO has been better than PSN but now there charging there servers etc should be improved drastically im just unsure if PS can keep up with the online of Xbox. Online gaming is all i play to be honest. Neither game line ups exclusives bother me, ill be buying CoD, Fifa and Watchdogs at launch which are multiplats.


I post in here more because its more active, no other reason.

Buying a console for the games you want to play rather than specs? What kinda crazy madness is this?!?!? Don't bring your sensible and reasonable thought process here, it's not welcome!!!

Shopto are now allowing you to choose between either FIFA or Forza 5 as the free digital game, is this a universal thing?
 
Hmm, the current bundles that include Forza 5 as the free game don't actually work out any better for me, I'll still keep my FIFA 14 edition with a bundled (purchased) copy of F5 and a 12 month sub I think.

Yeah I'm thinking the same. If they'd have had a bundle with Forza in pack + Watchdogs + 12Month live or something along those lines I'd have swapped but all the Forza bundles seem to be towards the £550-£600 mark :( with games I don't want.

I'm the other way round its all about the specs as these are consoles that are going to last us years. Why base your buying decision on a handful of launch games that 6 months down the line will be long forgotten and you will be stuck with a less powerful machine and a company that wants to de emphasise the game playing aspect*

*In my opinion. :)
