Who here owns a Subaru?

Yes, the stereo is very average. It's a mixture of cheap headunit and cheap speakers. I'd change the head unit first and see if it works enough, then change the speakers if it doesn't.

Tyres: I no understand? Potenzas are made by Bridgestone? Best? Personally I'm with the Goodyear Eagle Asymmetrics crew, but some people prefer the Potenzas (RE070s IIRC). Depends on your preferred "feel": Eagles has softer ride, and slightly less grip in the dry (but progressive breakaway). Potenzas have a harsher ride, but better slightly better dry grip (but more abrupt loss of grip). Those are the only two I've tried.

Eagles are total pap on a performance car, so soft it's silly. I've been through this before and took them off, but last week I put a pair back on the rear when I was feeling cheap. Reminds me why I hated them before, I wasn't being irrational they really are like riding on jelly. Ruined the turn-in, rolls around like a barge, giving it the beans down a bumpy country lane had the rear wagging around as if the axle wasn't attached, really quite unnerving. I was going to switch them onto the front but even that was too much trouble, stupid soggy bulging sidewall would not clear the coilover. For now I have pumped them up to 45 and put 8 clicks more on the dampers.

The upshot of all this is that I found out JJC have imported some of the new AD08R and they are no more expensive than the vanilla model. Tempted to try these although I would be miffed if they turned out to not have the longevity of the regular ones.

The only thing (if I do get a Scooby) that would sway me from getting the Saloon Vs Estate.. I need to be able to haul my bike around "as it is" don't think they would fit in a blob eye would they?

Depends on the car and driving use

The goodyears are brilliant on cold wet B roads

I've just got a blob eye and I'm also partial to MTB'ing at the weekends. However, I think the only way my bike will fit IN the car will be to take both wheels off and put everything in bike bags. (Seats don't fold down as far as I'm aware?!) Other than that it appears you would need to take the roof rack/rear carrier route. (I cant do the rear carrier route because of my stupid STi spoiler :o:cool:) Hope that's some help?

cheers guys

I don't mind putting the seats down, as long as it will go in without taking bits off
ill probably look for a wagon, but I much prefer the look of the saloon with the sti rear spoiler on !

Get the wagon. I'm not sure if a full MTB will fit in the wagon, with front wheel on, it may be a tight fit. You could always stick on the roof with a roof rack though.

The wagons are a great car.

Some quick videos from the BRZ I drove at the weekend. It is far from slow like many would have you believe.

Its not that it is slow, its just no improvement performance wise on q 15 year ole 200sx which can cheaply be tuned to be what 250bhp?

I have road bike/cyclocross bikes
and my roadie fits in my cliosport without taking wheels off
its tight, driveable "just" lol
im 6'2 so the seat has to go forward a couple of notches!

Just got my first 'scooby' last night, :D

Forge Dump Valve (may remove?)

Loving the car, the burble is absoloutely fantastic had much fun driving it home last night, just got to work out what to do with the E46 now.

Very big change but I'm happy as I'm having bags of fun already which is something I never really felt with the E46..

How does the steering feel compared to the E46?
