It's a strange old game and I've got a love hate relationship with it so far. I'm getting a bit sick of getting shot whilst in cover. I was stood behind a pillar on SoS yet the tank took me out with one shot. It's almost as if the enemy see's me 1 second previous to what I see on my own screen (if that makes sense).

nah when we were trying to take D and you seemed determined to kill the tanks or die trying :D

have you tried adjusting your network smoothing down a bit ?, might not help much at the mo cos the games flubbered , but worth a try.

really can't get to liking paracel storm, just end up getting smacked to pieces by jets/helis or attack boats :(.

Yup that is when I had the biggest problems with the hit reg.

I swear to god that I put an entire mag into someone and they didn't ****ing die!?!? :mad: This is with the AEK too which has a massive ROF + damage up close!

I always keep the network smoothing factor to 0%

Oh and to top it of for those rounds, we had like 4 less players too (which is quite a sizeable amount considering it was domination) :rolleyes: Another thing that needs fixing in this game!

Those rounds later on tonight have been the worse for me so far.

Haha. It really is pointless me trying isn't it? :D I should just avoid respawning anywhere where there are tanks. My smoothing network settings are down to 10 already. I sometimes wish I had a higher ping than I do. Seems a massive disadvantage having a low one at times.

I also seem to often end up in one of those infantry fighting vehicles where the driver thinks he can go head to head with a tank. No chance.

Certainly going to make me think twice before pre-ordering another EA/DICE game!

Not going to play this tomorrow, need a break from it as it is just too annoying atm with the crashes, netcode/hit reg. etc.

Server patch r7 has balls it up. Was awesome yersterday, although some ala dg have never had any issues in bf :(

I'm getting to the stage where I am getting bored of computer gaming but I was really looking forward to BF4.
I've had nothing but dog **** with this game since Friday!!
Icing on the cake for me.
I can't be bothered no more.
 
I need to unlock a gun that isn't just useful for short range. I like the AK-5C but its range is very poor. I can't get any accuracy from longer distances. Don't think I'm too far off unlocking the M145 [3.4X] though.

I've been using the Aug a bit today and have been very impressed with it. I was a fan on BF3 and definitely think it's better on BF4.
 
We've removed Siege of Shanghai from our server rotation as it only seems to cause crashing for everyone. We can see by the end of the round there's way less people on the server, be that Beta Boredom or crashing.

Not surprised at all. It's obvious from the bugs still in the game it wasn't properly tested. No doubt EA didn't care and wouldn't push the date back for fear of not beating COD to market

The ridiculous part is, COD caters to a different crowd entirely. Battlefield has its own identity. People often play both.
 
Played a bit here and there since release and just couldn't seem to master ranking up, due to dying a lot :D but last night managed to jump two ranks in about 45mins (gd for me):p

On the downside, looks like the patch has bugged my audio a bit....had no issues/crashes before, now I lose the background sound and all I seem to hear is my gun!

Oh and wtf is that #### with heli's....1st map of the day I got in one, lifted off and realised my controller had miraculously unconfigured some buttons....so I landed in some ankle deep water, still at spawn, jumped out and it caught fire and blew up while I was resetting my buttons! Cue my passenger calling me a noob and raging at me to learn to fly cos he thought I had crashed it...lol

Need to start putting some hrs into game from now on and tonight seems like a gd time :)

AK5C is the best medium range carbine there is! What FOV and what mouse DPI / in game sens are you using? Low sens is the way to go, I meant really low sens :D
 
Those obliteration matches can drag on a bit can't they? Last one I played last night went on for 1hr43min before the other side realised that as we only had one point to blow up, if the server crashed that would be 20k's worth of points gone for some people.

Cue lots of opposition players wanting to let us plant and others resisting the idea (mostly the french)

the battles can last along time but i personally like that . thing is if you do crash you will rage :p i did on last game i had last night had about 60 kills with a lmg i was levelling ;( . im sure neil with point out any issues i have in the usual Daily Mirror style .

Whats the deal with this then Stoney? Ive never really been happy with the feel of the mouse in game and am up for some experimenting. Surely if its set low in game and at windows / mouse driver level you will struggle to acquire targets wouldn't you?

nah you were giving it a good go, problem is with this game is that it needs people to play as a team, 2-3 engy's can deal with vehicles long as auto regen doesn't get a chance to kick in.

and yeah i keep yelling at them to get the hell out of there but they carry on trying :D
