What film did you watch last night?

The Internship - 8/10

Surprisingly good!, Sometimes Vince and Owen can be a little Hit and Miss sometimes, but this was actually quite funny! With very few 'cringe worthy' moments!

Yes! The outcome of the film was a foregone conclusion, Yes! the 'Villan' was always going to get his comeuppance! and it was 'flagged' waaaay before it happened!! It's a 'By The Numbers' type of film, but I actually enjoyed it! :)

The Hunger Games (first one). On Netflix.
Always expected a fairly naff teen friendly Battle Royalle ripoff so gave it a wide birth originally until seeing v favorable reviews of the new one so gave it a go.
Kinda like the art style I think. Reminds me of a number of films non of which I can think of right now but probably from the Seventies and prob quite camp.
The scene where the kids enter the areana was quite shocking really and nicely done.
I thought the Zone 1 kids ganging up was a bit of a cop-out as was when Katniss escaped up the tree and they just (essentially) let her go.

Nice suprise though and definately enjoyed it.

Robot and Frank - I really liked this near future study of aging where a man starting with dementia is given a robot to help around the house. That sounds pretty dull but the film had several moments between Robot and Frank that were quite touching and overall well made little film. 4/5

The World's End 6/10
This Is The End 7/10

Apocalyptic comedy weekend. I thought they were both reasonably funny, worth a watch. The World's End was the weakest though, no where near as good as the other two in the 'Cornetto' trilogy! :D

Indy Game: The Movie
Far more interesting than I expected, especially if you know a bit about the games involved. I knew 'of' these people, but the stories behind the software makes me reconsider how easily I dismiss titles I have little real interest in, or am disappointed by.

The Fast and The Furious.

On HD-DVD.

Despite the obvious technical errors it was still awesome :D

You've got a HD-DVD player

Anyway, F&F is a much better film than it really ought to be, given the fairly silly premise. It helps that Vin Diesel is a good actor, albeit one with a habit for only making rubbish films.

Also, Jordana Brewster is absurdly hot.

Watched Warm Bodies, thought it was pretty good in all.

Would have liked it if they left more to the imagination... the zombies went from struggling to say a word to having near full blown conversations a little too easily.

It's good because it's basically Point Break with cars instead of surfboards :)

Only bought it for the full size xbox remote - at £20 it would have been rude not to :p

The Purge
Love the idea of the film, however the movie did not pull it off overly well. Focused too much on just one family and nothing much else. 4/10

The Recruit - been a while since I watched it, since it popped up on netflix I gave it another viewing. Must been ten years since it came out, good film anyway.

Next to watch 'Inside Man'.
