What film did you watch last night?

The Mask

Missus and I were up for something light and funny, so we rewatched The Mask. One that brings back memories. 1994, Cameron Diaz debut and Jim Carrey at his best! Still enjoing it, 8/10.

Alpha Papa. Disappointing. One or two good lines in there, but by and large not that great. Certainly not as good as some of the older shows

Still, the mrs enjoyed it, so there you go.

I agree,

Not as good as the sum of its parts....

Singing to Roachford at the start was ace :D

And there where other funny bits too...But the script was dull and hammy. But overall disappointing.

I watched that last night too!! :)

I'd go 7/10 also, Some laugh out loud moments, some cringe moments too!, I did notice a few 'geek' moments linking all three movies (the Fruit machine music in one of the Pubs/Shaun of the Dead etc...)

There seemed to be equal amounts of cringe to lol moments.

Olympus has Fallen

When unidentified aircraft is spotted approaching the White House, the Secret Service rush the President, his cabinet and visiting officials to the safety of the presidential bunker. But will this be sanctuary enough? As the Oval office and its environs sustain an aerial and ground attack, disgraced former U.S. Secret Service man, Mike Banning, thinks not. Using his insider knowledge, Banning breaches the White House’s increasingly compromised security to discover that the President is now a hostage… What can one man do? The all star ensemble cast is directed by the award winning director of Training Day, Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, Shooter and Brooklyn’s Finest, Antoine Fuqua. Olympus Has Fallen is produced by Mark Gill, Ed Cathall and Gerard Butler joined by Avi Lerner as executive producer, whilst original music was composed by Emmy award winning Trevor Morris.

Very surprised by this, wasnt expecting much at all, however its a realy good action flick. One of the top ones i've seen in ages.
8/10

Assault on Wall Street

A security guard for an armored truck, Jim (Dominic Purcell) is a blue-collar New Yorker who works hard to earn a living. His wages support himself and his wife Rosie (Erin Karpluk), who is on the upswing recovering from a near-fatal illness. Yet things start to fall apart after Rosie's health insurance stops covering her treatment and Jim's life savings are lost via a disastrous investment his stockbroker had advised him to make. As a row of professional and personal dominoes falls, Jim is confronted by the realization that, after being abused and exploited by financial institutions for far too long, he has only one choice: to strike back. From the mind of notorious German writer/director Uwe Boll (House of the Dead), ASSAULT ON WALL STREET is excoriating look at the American financial system that is sure to stir up plenty of Occupy-esque sentiment. (c) Phase 4

7/10
The ending was pretty darn good.
