3D gaming is superb, but, I haven't been playing on 3D for a while as it got the blame for a blocked tear duct on one of my eyes(water just pours out your eye whenever it feels like it, absolute pita).
Don't just rush in initially and play 3D for hours, better off breaking yourself in over a few nights, giving yourself a few breaks in between, the eye strain is a bit more severe compared to watching movies in 3D.
PowerDVD or True theatre is what you need to watch 3D Bluerays btw may be others though as they are quite expensive.
HDMI can run 120Hz@720p SBS, FS is capped@24+24fps@1080p=pants iirc.
