I managed to kill the first 2 just by using the cannons without getting noticed, then the Cobra attacked me so I went hot mode and beamed the other ones to bits in quick succession. Thought I had failed, but it still let me proceed.Jokester,

The Anaconda one is great fun, but I just can't get the Anaconda itself down. Kill off the four escorts then you chase down the Anaconda as it heads for the planet, it's very opening scene from Star Wars.

Nice one, well not sure if you are anywhere near the dev team whilst at work, but I suspect there's a lot of smiles around frontier HQ at the moment, you have truly taken us all by surprise
Folks. I just checked the Frontier store and my Beta pledge of £150 on kickstarter is coming up as £100 on the store. Any ideas why this maybe?
No mention of the DRM free collectors boxed edition etc and all the other goodies on the Frontier store website... anyone have any clue why this is?

Backers need to make sure that their postal address is correct if they have any rewards that require postage because the data didn't move over correctly.
They'll be "billed" to your account once they're sent out.
It's worth noting that alpha and premium (1st round) beta includes the expansion pass as well.
I think david played his cards well with this, they released a really good looking alpha, that puts most retail games to shame. I only went for the 30 quid tier, which was almost $50 here, but having seen how well they are doing i wish i had gone for a slightly higher one.
Having waited what seems most of my gaming life for this game, i can hold out a few more months

Yeah it feels basically like a finished games stater tutorial. It all works, I've had only one crash in the 3 or so hours I've spent playing it so it seems reasonably stable. There's a few reports of what appears to be incompatiblity issues but nothing critical or game breaking. The flight mechanics seem to be pretty good and much to be expected, very original Elite like.
The weapon variability looks quite good.
Playing with keyboard and mouse looks like a no-go at the moment though, really needs a joystick to play it.

Got to agree, Ive put about 3 times more cash into SC than this and if SC had released something like this I would have been spasming with joy. Theyve stolen a bit of SCs thunder methinks. Looking forward to 2nd CB ><
Mine is doing that also, if you login to the backers website it does appear as 150. I wouldnt worry tbh. I Knew this game would deliver.

I think the smiles are more relieved than pleased, we've been putting in some long hours over the last couple of weeks and it's good to know it's been worth it.Nothing to worry about, it's all explained here

Got Beta access myself and undecided about getting a stick after seeing the prices, was wonder if it played better with one. If the games as good as the original it would probably pay for itself if its worth it and I manage to do a least half the hours I had clocked up on the first game.

I thought the £150 pledge was for "The Elite" pledge, with 1st beta.
To me it looks like the store prices are just for the game and 1st beta or 2nd beta. Make no reference for the additional stuff with the KS pledges.
I gave it a go with mouse/keyboard at first and found it largely unplayable - it's so much better using a joystick.
