Ah ok thanks, I sure am dying an awful lot, but I hope I get better. Seems a promising game so far with lots of loot. Anyone found a revolver yet that was added recently?

I was dieing, everything was black and white. I decided it was best for dlknight to give me a blood transfusion, I assumed he was my blood brother. I would not wait for a test..

He gave me blood

I got sick, very sick

I died

Respawn, we met up, onwards to the north!
 
Played this for an hour tonight, found two giant compounds, searched the entire place, only came across one zombie the whole time..and that one didn't even seem to care that i existed/it was trapped half in a wall.

Searched about 50 buildings in total, big and small, found nothing of any use and eventually passed out due to thirst.

Oh and to top it off i had to spent 30 minutes adjusting settings so taht the game didn't make me feel ill, the movement, mostly inside buildings, is horrible and gives me motion sickness. Really really disappointed with this game so far. Probably won't load it up again for quite some time, but given how long it's taken them to get this far (it doesn't exactly seem much different to the mod apart from less lag) i don't hold out much hope for playing a decent game of it during 2014.
 
adjust fov then turn off all blurs and post processing.

if you havent found any loot within ten minutes just join a lower pop server while you get to grips with how the game is now. the mod has made people to accustomed to easy loot.

find water holes , ponds drink 20 drinks minimum then check all houses for food and check cars for a lot of goodies including mosin rifles, blatoa baracks for m4 and big back packs.

Respawning Zombies & Loot

Target Delivery: Early 2014

Currently to have the server check if something needs respawning can cause an issue with performance. We did not want to go with a "scripted" solution for respawning, and it is expensive on server performance. Player spawning on the coast is conducted by the engine, and we are going to employ a similar process for managing zombie and loot spawn (possibly parallelized). This is a high priority task and zombie respawn at least is very close to being implemented.

This went against most of my dayz morals. But at the same time, it was hilarious. I blame peer pressure.

Literally just logged off with Bubblz. Then again, we're up in kras Airfield :(

Edit: Whilst its on my mind - after one of the server crashes, Zombies were invisible to me. A quick relog fixed it though. Just a heads up :)

Hey Marker, I have a video of a player on your server combat logging whilst i tried to loot him having knocked him unconscious... His name was "That guy with a gun" I will upload it to my server in a moment. Wierd things happened when trying to axe him to death!

My name on the server is thesmileyone, I need to change it via steam to this one :) I logged off afterwards to upload the video via FTP.
 
FFS! On OCUK svr - friendly guy in Cherno. Awesome. Felt good for not shooting. Balota airfield, tried to say hello. Guy hit me with a bat AFTER I had shot him with my mosin! Lame... but valuable lessons re-learnt. Don't trust anyone
