As the Earth and Mars have different orbits the distance varies, with the closest point occurring roughly every two years. Apparently 27 July 2018 is a date to look out for as we will be just 35.8 million miles apart.

I know these kind of threads are a lightning rod for the dross in our society but sometimes it really does get to me when it seems like half the people in this country are bigoted prats.

Most Eastern Europe states are booming, this is primarily because they had depressed economies following the collapse of the Soviet Union. When the low hanging fruit has all been picked, that is when we'll see how good their economy really is.
I agree. But I was just demonstrating that Romania is growing, and has low unemployment. British business has also benefited massively since their addition to the EU.
The only real reason to freak out about potential Romanian economic migrants is bigotry.

Nonsense, there are many valid reasons -
* Overpopulation
* Concerns they may not integrate
* Worries about whether our services can support them
* Roma immigration bringing inevitable crime
* Too many immigrants already
* And so forth
Reducing everything to "bigotry" shows that you do not have answers to these concerns, so you're just throwing out petty insults. But we can already see that particular tactic has been exhausted over the last decade, people are no longer cowed by such labels.
So let us either discuss something or substance, or just admit you don't have a leg to stand on.

The ones that are already here, well thats tough on us, accept it as I do... I dont go round stamping on black peoples heads etc
However I dont want anymore immigrants in here, the country is on its knees because of them - why should i have to pay for private healthcare just to get good treatment, because the NHS is ruined as all theses scabs are coming in and sponging off it?
Why should I have to avoid areas in this country, for fear of my family being kidnapped, mugged, raped, beheaded etc as they all hate English people?
Even our soldiers cant walk the streets of England without having a lunatic immigrant carve them up.
There is a reason why we are an island, the water is there to protect us... now it hinders us as they come over and wont ever leave.
The sooner we get in a government that gets strict on this the better, get the military to patrol the streets and remove any of them that are not a benefit to our society ie 95% of them.
I know that will hurt a few of you that like the Eastern European whores that come over, but seriously, if you can only get Vag' based on the fact they are desperate and want English cash... then give up. Fact is, anyone with a Eastern European bird is sharing her with one of her homeland lovers... Dariusz, Georghe, Novak, Hristo & Co. Dont fool yourselves and come back to the good side.

So now you go from bigoted racist to abusive fool. My Bulgarian fiancé is exceptionally well educated from a family that paid up front for the very best British education. She's paid more in tuition fees in 4 years than you probably have in tax and she's never once claimed for anything. As soon as she finished education she immediately contacted the council to sort out her taxation. She sponges off no one and is the sort of immigrant this country needs. The NHS would collapse without the highly trained immigrants that want to work for it as there's a massive skill shortage in the British populace.
Just labelling all Eastern European women as whores just proves how much of a complete social and economic retard you really are. No doubt you'll be eating some sort of foreign food over the Christmas period and enjoying foreign made gadgets, such as ALL PC made components, yet due to being some deluded pro British person, you just knit pick at specific non issues.

Well not it isn't, there are many reasons to be concerned, especially if you need to get by on low skilled labour as large scale immigration from Eastern Europe has had some pretty serious impacts on that area.
Not to mention the issues that large scale immigration can have on local areas such as negative impact on schools, pressure on public services and increased house prices.
Immigration is a positive economic benefit as a whole but can seriously negatively impact certain parts of the community. However a lot of middle class people are OK with that as long as they see the benefits of it.

The economic benefit is by no means guaranteed. Studies by our own Parliament have shown it either has no or only a small economic benefit. And in the long term it may have a negative impact as these immigrants will have kids who will increase pressure on services.

A recent report, by University College London actually found that immigrants who had moved to the UK since 2000 had made a significant boost to public finances and were also less likely to claim benefits or live in social housing than British people.
It also showed that people from the EU plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein contributed 34% more in taxes than they received in benefits in the decade to 2011 and those from outside the EEA contributed 2% more in taxes than they received in the same period.
You know whats coming..
British people paid 11% less in tax than they received during the same period.
Thats a 10 year data study which is clearly showing the country turn a profit from these people overall. The benefits tourism, whilst i'm sure it happens doesnt do so sufficiently to outweigh the contribution.
I say we ship out the lazy fat "British" chavs that are the drain on our economy and invite as many of the so called immigrants to take their place, the country could be great again within a decade!
