What film did you watch last night?

Yes, but it was a largely forgettable film (all I can remember very little about it other than the fact a lot of it was set in a bowling alley).

Flight John Goodman, his character was good.

.

His character was a nod to The Big Lebowski.

As you find The Big Lebowski forgettable. I will no longer respond to your Imbecilic posts:p

Pacific Rim
Fantastic CGI and some great actions sequences make this film, because almost everything else about it is pure horse poop. I expected this to be the case before watching it, so thankfully I was prepared. Entertaining action nonsense gets it 6/10 from me.

Regarding the CGI, I think the film could have benefited massively from a better backdrop. It was always night time or raining heavily [or just dark as in ocean floor]. Better lighting would have been more enjoyable to see what was actually going on.

+1 This is a vastly overrated film and i wish the hipster film buffs will just drop it, it's not that funny, it's not the greatest film of all time and it ok at best, and yes i've seen it twice now. 6/10 at the very very most.

And I agree. Along with Anchorman I just don't see what others see in TBL. It's not a bad film but not, to me, worth the adulation it gets. I much prefer their earlier Raising Arizona.

Raising Arizona is guff. And TBL and Anchorman aren't even in the same league, either in terms of actual quality or how overrated they are.

Its not about being a film buff.

Its recognizing great acting and a fantastic script...and brilliant nuance of characters.
