The desk is pretty tidy at the mo.

Cheers fella, i might check out a passive pre. Very impressed although i've got my eye on a Red Wine Audio amp that i've always fancied trying so this might be available if you're interested (obviously can't see out of the MM) but let me know and i'll make a post.

Im using my Cyrus Xpowers with PSXRs as monoblocks atm so im ok for amps but will have to have a look at repairing the old girl some time as the old girl sings so sweet.

This is my gaming/music station:
Denon UD-M31, 2x Mission M70 bookshelf speakers, 1x Mission MS10 subwoofer
Connected up to X-FI Xtreme Music pci-e card via analogue RCA.
Nothing particularly high end but very nice sound quality and has served me well for over 10 years now!

Just wired up the old valve amp to test it again and checked all the cables were secure and the valves seated ok and its working fine again so fingers crossed it stays that way.
Thats what its all about. If you are happy with the sound stick with what you like!
Yeah I think so too, I listen to a lot of vinyl flac rips which sound great
I was wondering about these external SPDIF DAC's - do you think I might achieve better sound output bypassing the soundcard with a DAC to my amp?
My amp doesn't have digital input.
