Because people dont report where they were murdered using the cellphone system. You get reports in like

"My car was just stolen, help!"

"I was just robbed and murdered, help!"

"I'm locked out of my car, help!"

Theres never any locations given so there isn't anything they can do, most public cops will hang around in Kavala because thats where everyone spawns so they are probably testing things + can't afford to travel between cities in a vehicle.

If anyone needs assistance then they can jump on teamspeak and harass, I mean poke an officer there. Ingame its nuts, the chat moves so quickly with spam and other messages. The cellphone system isnt perfect as it doesnt remember messages you get.

I'd recommend if you want to get anything done you don't spawn in Kavala or if you do spawn there, you're very careful.
 
It's difficult to try and help people when you have four people around you shouting 'officer help me' and you have no idea who it is. Needs a more helpful UI!

TJ, I saw on your CPC website an application to be a moderator of some sort. I can't seem to find it now. Server is full of kiddies spamming voice in global etc and making it chaotic. What's the link to the form? Thanks :).

Yeah ingame is hectic, people spamming voice ect. I think if you taze someone they cant speak briefly or it cuts off their speech? I'd just pull the perp over to the side and if anyone follows and doesnt go away, deal with them leaving the other restrained.. cops need more ability ingame for sure.

Did my first good deed. A guy's legs were broken from some guy running into him. He couldn't walk, so escorted him to the hospital and fixed him :).
 
So i might have been a little bit bad cop/good cop! Some guy going round saying Cops are dooches, well a lot more verbal than that so we had a little walk to a very high building.....good buy!!
 
ohh my just tried this and 6 hours later finally logged off. Met up with some random guys started off to go pick some apples, then got carjacked by a guy who told the cops we stole his car. when they stopped us our driver got out and the guy jumped in and drove off with 3 of us still in the car. The cops that stopped us gave chase and ran over 2 officers and our driver. Finally stopped when the guy crashed and the cops tasered him and apologised to us.

all this from a random encounter, and it was really funny how it played out.

Your driver should have locked his car as soon as he got out! You can also lock a car as the driver when you're in it. I've discovered this and found it useful. It stops people jumping into my police car, then shouting at me to give them a lift!
 
yeh i went on last night, got abused by a few police officers, one came up and impounded my brand new quad i hadnt even got on, bought it he ran over an it was gone straight away, having 2 public police slots isnt the best idea lol better to know who ur cops are
 
Played on this last couple of days - TJ you do have quite a few dooche bag police officers abusing the rules I'm afraid.

Absolutely no roleplay and just looks like some of them are on to spoil others fun.

Guy called Nasti_K or something and his mates (Tacitplague) - one of them was James something or other they were flying round in a hummingbird last night and stopped us. Didn't say why they stopped us but shot one of our group outright, drowned another and after walking me round and round the petrol station for about 15 minutes let me go. They sounded like a complete set of tools in direct chat. Then for the rest of the evening could hear them hassling other people in global chat.

Nasti_K kept declaring martial law in Kavala...

EDIT: agree with the post above - perhaps whitelisted cops only will stop some of the problems.

Anyway - is everyone playing using their forum names?

Nasti_k got banned last night for being a moron, I think TJ will be uploading a video on the CPC website soon with a few comedy gold moments from last night. Doubt it will be linked here because of swearing so I would keep checking the site for it :)
 
So many people are taking this role-play cop business to a whole new level. Cars being stopped for just driving along the road and then civs jumping in other players cars!

I have also seen so many civs that abuse the cops. I must have been run over 6 times now!

indeed, the no1 arma 2 server is and has been for months a takistan life server , wish someone would port takistan to A3 - cant stand stratis and altis , they're just to big plain and boring !
