♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ World Cup 2014 - Brazil, June 12 - July 13 ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Anybody see Roy in the Jungle on the News yesterday. :D

Started the fire burning, Can't wait for some big World cup games.

I guess this is as good a place as any for this.

England squad for the friendly against Denmark:

England squad:

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Celtic), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City), John Ruddy (Norwich City).

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Steven Caulker (Cardiff City), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Southampton), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).

Midfielders: Ross Barkley (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Southampton), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).

Forwards: Jermain Defoe (Toronto FC), Rickie Lambert (Southampton), Jay Rodriguez (Southampton), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Daniel Welbeck (Manchester United).

The team I would like Woy to play:

Hart

Johnson Cahill Smalling (:() Shaw

AOC Lallana Henderson Sterling

Rooney

Sturridge.

Will he? Never in a million years. he knows what just about every other player he has can do. We've got to the Finals. Everything else from here on is a bonus. Think about the Euro's Woy. At least Jagielka will play in place of Smalling when fit. Smalling and Welbeck are dreadfully poor IMO.

Really can't understand Cleverley continually getting a place and Nolan getting overlooked, Johnson's been very poor this season although he has been carrying an injury and Townsend offers nothing more than pace although Sterling was like a few months and has come good so perhaps there's time for him before the tournament begins.

Awful squad tbh.

The inclusion of Cleverley is extremely strange. He's not a good player, he's in particularly bad form, and he's not played much lately.

Looking forward to spanking England in the first game! Should be a good game England always tough to beat. Sturridge is in amazing form hope he doesn't cause us to many problems.

Henderson and Lallana are both class, but that midfield would get torn a new one.

My provisional squad below, 1 GK/DEF/MID/FWD spot up for grabs indicated by question mark.

Hart, Forster, Foster?
Johnson, Walker, Baines, Cole, Jagielka, Jones, Cahill, Davies?
Gerrard, Lampard, Carrick, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Milner, Lallana, Barkley?
Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert, Welbeck?

Midfield is tough, one could make a case for Barry, Henderson, Sterling etc. John Terry's retirement is annoying as we are a bit light in terms of proven CBs now compared to the old days of Sol, Rio, Terry and Woody with Carra getting all upset that he couldn't make the squad :)

Not sure how I'm going to watch this now, as I'll be living in a different country, anyone know if France have the same sort of "crown jewel" sports for free to air that we do in Britain?

I was in France for the last 2 major tournaments and its a bit frustrating to watch them.

Last tournament TF1 resold the rights to about 60% of the games to pay tv channels quite close to the start.

The electronic tv guide didn't show what the free matches were (just listed ast UEFA Euro 2012) so it was difficult to work out what was on.

French TV in general shows sport in a weird way - there is no build up to anything (football, f1 etc) so it will literally cut from adverts just as they kick off.

All of the above made it very frustrating to watch sport.

I'd be happier with that than having to endure Adrian Chiles.
