This is not true from what I've read in the patch notes. The item stats aren't determined until you id the item.

If you collect it on your barb but he doesn't need it you can pass it to your monk. The stats rolled are specific to the class id'ing the item.

You can also only sell un-id'd items. Once id'd they are account bound.

Anyone know if this has changed then? Previous to v2 items were rolled on drop, not on identification.

Looking at the smithing side of things, I thought I'd reached the top level of progression, but have now seen I need some "deaths breath" to go further.. Who & Where the hell do they drop from?

Google gives me: •Drops from elite monsters and bosses that are level 61 and higher

So Reaper of Souls then :D

thought as much! I did have a quick look myself and only saw a bit saying elite bosses, no mention of 61+... shall just go back to looking for other smithing plans and see what I find :)

Hi guys,

Recently started playing after near original release, getting back into it for th expansion.

One problem, I'm experience horrible FPS drops and I can't figure why! Specs below:

Intel Core i5 4670K @ 4.6Ghz
Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Motherboard
Patriot 8GB (2x 4GB) 2133MHz Dual Channel DDR3 Viper 3 Black Mamba Memory Kit
MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Boost Edition 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO

Note, D3 is installed on my western digital mechanical, not the SSD.

Any ideas?

Have you got vsync on? Having it off causes nasty lag for me.

Also, stick it on your SSD. It's a streaming game.

It's just badly optimised, large areas with large groups of mobs and 'pretty' classes like wizards and demon hunters who have good attack effects will make the engine chug like crazy. I ran across the Act 3 bridge leading up to the siege beast boss with 4 wizards... thought my game was going to crash it chugged that hard.

Unless you're running around New Tristram and getting 2fps in which case it'd be the user end.

yeh my wiz slows the game down sometimes , bit crazy.

got to level 38 on my DH, would definatly recommend people get another class up to 60 during the XP boost, plus the drops are crazy good.. a lot of legendaries!

D3 runs completely smooth maxed out for me on a much older system (i7 920 and GTX 295), aside from low frames for a couple seconds after first loading Tristram it never gets low.

It's not very nice how they line up the EU maintenance with the US because that means peak time is down over here while Americans sleep, they should do them separately and EU should be tonight or last night?

EU and US maintenance are on different days. I'm not sure how going down at 3AM GMT (4AM for most people in Europe) is considered peak time, but ok.

It is ridiculous how often they extend the maintenance though, after doing this for so long you'd have thought that they'd be able to release small patches much more smoothly than they currently do, especially when you consider that they release them in the US first, so should already know what problems they will run into and how to fix them.
