Carjacking pro

Amazing! While I do feel sorry for the innocent parties I did find it kinda amusing.

Would have made a great publicity stunt for GTA lol

Why the hell would you lock your doors when you're driving?!

Safety!!

You have no idea what people are capable of especially when you're in slow moving or stationary traffic. What if someone just jumped into your car for whatever reason? Invading your personal space, putting your own or family's safety at risk!

I always lock the door when driving and more so when my wife & son are in the car.

I always lock my doors as soon as I get in the car now. Years ago when working in the nightclubs I had a drunk I had kicked out wait for me he jumped in the passenger seat and pulled a small knife.

If you don't trust anything to be safe you won't be dissapointed :D

This, can't say I have ever met anyone who locks their car doors when driving. Surely that would be a very dumb move in the event of an accident?

I reckon the chance of an accident is significantly higher than the chance of getting car jacked.... I'd maybe lock my doors if driving through a dodgy part of a city (you don't want some scrote grabbing your bag/laptop from the back seat while at the lights) but in general, along motorways, country lanes etc... I'd leave the doors unlocked... I'd like to exit as quickly as possible with minimum fuss if in an accident.

To stop carjacking..?

e: although the use of a question mark followed by an exclamation mark suggest that irony may be involved in which case I've just been had.

Most of us don't live in the British equivelent of Johannesburg! If you do then maybe you should think about moving...;)

Exactly! Thats the same reason i walk around in a giant bubble because what if!?

Glad someone agrees with me!

Look at what is happening to this world now......would you trust the general public with your life?

The world is now a more safer place than anytime in history. The only difference is that due to the amount of news we consume we are now more aware of what happens making it seem worse.

Lol, are you worried you will accidentally take a wrong turn into south Africa?

I can't believe that anyone actually does this, it's absurd.

Yeah this pretty much sums it up.

Carjacking in the UK is incredibly rare.

As for safety, when you crash locking your doors could actually prove to be more harmful.

I agree with you on the dodgy part of the city bit. If I am in somewhere that looks horrific then I might lock the doors, or if it's very late at night and I'm somewhere sketchy. I also lock them if I leave my girlfriend alone in the car, but she cares more about that than I do.

I have to say, though, I've never ever thought before about the possibility of someone opening the door while I'm stationary...weird!

I agree with this in most parts, although i wouldnt commit myself to saying, its safer than any time in history.

I wasn't really looking at car jacking, rather unwanted visitors!

Never say never, but in the 7 years I've been driving, I've been accident free and honestly never come close. In regards to locking the doors, I'm sure there would be safety measures in place for such an event.

I was waiting for him to mow down a bunch of homies in bright orange jackets....

Weren't they hari krishna's?

Either way, Not funny for those involved but hilarious to watch. Someone needs to dub a gta sound track over that video. I am the same as most people though and normally don't lock my car while driving. There have been a few exceptions but they are few and far between.

The chance of your being in an accident are much more likely and I'm not aware of any safety measures. If they do exist they may not always work.
