Why the hell would you lock your doors when you're driving?!
This, can't say I have ever met anyone who locks their car doors when driving. Surely that would be a very dumb move in the event of an accident?
To stop carjacking..?
e: although the use of a question mark followed by an exclamation mark suggest that irony may be involved in which case I've just been had.
Safety!!
You have no idea what people are capable of especially when you're in slow moving or stationary traffic. What if someone just jumped into your car for whatever reason? Invading your personal space, putting your own or family's safety at risk!
I always lock the door when driving and more so when my wife & son are in the car.
Exactly! Thats the same reason i walk around in a giant bubble because what if!?
Glad someone agrees with me!
Look at what is happening to this world now......would you trust the general public with your life?
My car locks the doors when you pull away but I can turn it off.

I reckon the chance of an accident is significantly higher than the chance of getting car jacked.... I'd maybe lock my doors if driving through a dodgy part of a city (you don't want some scrote grabbing your bag/laptop from the back seat while at the lights) but in general, along motorways, country lanes etc... I'd leave the doors unlocked... I'd like to exit as quickly as possible with minimum fuss if in an accident.

Lol, are you worried you will accidentally take a wrong turn into south Africa?
I can't believe that anyone actually does this, it's absurd.

The world is now a more safer place than anytime in history. The only difference is that due to the amount of news we consume we are now more aware of what happens making it seem worse.
Carjacking in the UK is incredibly rare.
As for safety, when you crash locking your doors could actually prove to be more harmful.
I was waiting for him to mow down a bunch of homies in bright orange jackets....
Never say never, but in the 7 years I've been driving, I've been accident free and honestly never come close. In regards to locking the doors, I'm sure there would be safety measures in place for such an event.
