Have they figured out how to get XBMC on it yet? Will it be possible...
Out of interest, anyone else with a US purchased Chronecast getting "Service unavailable" on iPlayer? I notice that in the Chromecast app it reports mine as a US device now so I assume it's blocked from UK only apps. Something for people to bear in mind.
Picked one up at dinner and had a little play with it this evening. It's not something I'll use massively as I've got the media PC and NAS for most content but it will certainly come in handy when mates are round for YouTube and Google Music, perhaps when travelling as well.
I tried earlier on today and worked without any problems, US import too.
Have you tried factory resetting the chrome cast? should than reset to GB.
The Yatse remote apparently does it if you pay for the unlocker, it's £3.49 so gonna give that a go once my Chromecast arrives...
Other than that I mostly bought it for Netflix (with Super HD) without booting up the PS3 (the smart TV doesn't do super hd), and Google Music via the Amp, if the XBMC stuff works as well then it makes a better device than the rpi imo.
If/When the BT Sport app works that will be good to try as well, currently paying the £3 a month for the HD channels on Sky, be interesting to see if the App via Chromecast can compete.
Same with Eurosport Player as well, maybe I could cancel my Sky subscription, that'd be nice

iPlayer was unusable for me last night. Stuttering stream and at 9PM when tapping the cast icon it would come up on the TV with a white screen and BBC logo with an error code. I guess people were all trying out their new gadget.

What will the quality be since it's over WiFi?!
I was under the impression audio was the best also through MHL as it's through HDMI or am I getting confused?
