Chromecast now available in the UK!

Is there a way of casting xbox video content to a chromecast?

I don't have an Xbox anymore, but stil have £50+ in my account so thought I'd rent a few movies etc & cast them from PC/phone.
However when I try to cast from PC, is only works in windowed mode, once I make the film full screen the cast image on TV goes black.

Tried to do the same via my Note 4, but website says content is unsupported on this device.

Any ideas? or is it Microsoft bieng there usual helpful self?

Reading other places it was a US only release... but seeing as there's a UK image hopefully a UK release is very soon.

Not sure if I'll buy one, the wireless seems fine for me so far.

$15 in the US, I'll almost certainly buy one, my firetv stick is fine pic wise but the ui is like something from the 90's, so i much prefer using my chromecast and this should be a nice improvement.

Just sick of tech websites with their pop up adverts and having to click through 6 different pages to see 6 crucial differences between the two. Thought someone who has bought it might be able to sum it up nicely

Differences appear to be faster wifi and connection via cable rather than rigid stick. Does it still need separate USB power? I can't see any reason to upgrade unless your TV has limited space next to the Chrome stick.

Just a heads up for anyone who bought a Chromecast v2 recently, Google are offering £20 movie credit. It says only valid on devices purchased and set up from 15th November onwards however I bought and set mine up well before this date and I was still able to activate it and get £20 added to my play balance.
