6kg since Xmas. My target for the year was 70kg but I'm now heading for my stretch goal of 66kg.

Good effort! I'm 96kg (~20% body fat - eugh) as of this morning and I have been cycling almost 2 years now and not really lost any weight - how does that work?

Strava is weird, i used my Garmin 800 on monday riding home, it said i had an average of 19pmh but Strava says i have 18.8mph after upload. I dont know why the data changes so much,

Mine are always different but consistently so.

OH yea, anyone tried the Mojito flavour energy gels from wiggle yet?

High 5 ones? Disgusting!!! :(

What's everyones avg HR like when out on a ride? I've been doing flat routes lately between 20-30 miles mainly to get some sort of fitness going, but my avg HR for 90mins (and longer) is coming out at 80-85% :O is it just me or is that stupidly high??

Cake.

I lost weight when I started commuting but then I've plateaued for the last few years.

I've actually reduced my cycling recently so I'm not as tired and consequently I eat less and don't snack. When I was doing 50 miles a day, five days a week and then weekend Club rides I was eating everything in sight.

50 miles a day? 5 days a week? that's some effort! was that commuting?

I actually enjoyed my ride in to work today. :)

Took the long way in, 15 miles and backed off on the hills to save my legs for the weekend. Did it at 15.9mph average. Will take the steep but short way back tonight, but next week I'll start adding in longer routes home. If I can manage it twice a week with say, 40-50 miles each time then I should see an improvement in my cycling, plus my 50-80+ mile Sunday rides...

Cake - I wish!! I could seriously eat a cheesecake everyday though - omnomm

I was mainly commuting all last year, but have abandoned it this year as it was stopping me want to go out on evening/weekend rides because I was knackered. I'm doing about 70mi a week at the moment - 2 evening, 1 weekend ride, and have started jogging/running 2mi twice a week.

I was looking up rolling resistance vs tire inflation and came across this article.

According to this chap the optimum psi for my bike and me and my stuff (77kg +10kg +2kg(water, tools etc) 89kg is 103psi, I normally run about 110-115 so I might try the lower psi and see how it feels.

What do you guys run? I know if the back is too high on mine then I find it skids around on fast descents quite a bit, but then I do corner like a granny.
