I don't believe the relationship between them has deteriorated to the point the TV show are now making **** up as they go along without Martin's involvement or say so. He's still a co-executive producer on the series.

I never said they were just making stuff up for giggles, but Martin is not consulted on everything. He was obviously disappointed with the Jaime/Cersei thing for example, and said he did not discuss it with the writers. He is obviously consulted about large parts of the story, but is ultimately powerless I would think. I think I read about scenes being added to the episode he wrote the other week for example.

They have to add stuff, as not much happens in Feast tbh(not TV-worthy anyway), so additions are inevitable.

PS. You say one of the reasons he takes so long to write is because of his involvement with the show, but he took ages before the show was out!

Couple folk have asked about Jojen Reed's fits. Pretty sure they are showing his Green Dreams (visions) as epilepsy. To be fair the last time they talked about it in the show was 3 seasons ago. It was one of these dreams that made them come looking for Bran and start taking him North.

Anybody wish they'd kill off the big fat stupid guy on the wall? Jesus such a whining uninspired trash bit. Every scene with him in it makes me want to have him removed from the show even more vehemently. ...

and who's the guy saying to bang all the hoes till they die? Did I miss an episode somewhere I have no clue who hw is.

Read the recap above if you've not understood who the rebels are at crasters. They showed the rebellion last season.

As for the "big fat stupid guy" I really like samwell. Not sure what your problem is with him.

I am not really asking for LOTR 30 min battle scenes with 10 millions soliders. Something akin to the end of The Fellowship where they were attacked by 30 or so orcs would do. They could use the same 30 guys again in an extension of the same scene even.

1 guy gettings stabbed out of an entire city slaughtered feels like I am being cheated.

I felt that too, it was utter BS... I don't think anyone is expecting a 20 minutes battle every episode but when it happens like that at least show us something! :p

Doubt that's going to be an issue as I think the story has been pretty much finished by George R R Martin, he just hasn't finished writing them yet.

Right, I knew that much but wasn't LOST's ending already known by the creators and look at a mess that turned out :( - what I was asking is that I hope it's not left like that were there's so much going on with only 1/1000 things being answered by the end :D

I took that as him not being sick at all, and in fact some kind of trick to facilitate their escape.

martin has also briefed the producers how it all ends in the event he dies before he finishes writing the final books.

As above, but in regards to Bran's boyfriend Jojen I think his name is just dunno why he's so sick! kill him off already and his boring sister :p

I didn't read below these replies so I've probably been told all this already :D

When the Men of the Night's Watch went north of the wall to the Fist under the leadership of Lord Commander Mormont they stayed the night at Craster's Keep. Their return journey, after an arduous fight with some Others they also went to stay at Craster's Keep. This time however a group of brothers decided they were fed up with Mormont's commands to put up with their ill treatment from the host, Craster. They became so fed up they staged a mutiny and ended up killing not only Craster, but also Lord Commander Mormont. A number innocent brothers escaped back to the wall while the mutineers remained at the keep. The one in charge who swears a lot is presumably the one who spearheaded the mutiny. If i remember correctly he was never a friend of Jon's.

Sam is a bit useless, he is however the yin to Jon's yan and keeps him on the rails.

I'm with Raymond on the epic battle scenes that I hope is going to happen..

I seen GOT as a kettle brewing which will result in massoooove battle scenes..one can hope :D:(

Yea I kinda remember the mutineers holing up its just the lead guy I didn't rally remember from before. I also think rick flash heart mail would probably be a better choice.

How the heck did Locke get from the dreadfort to the wall so darn quickly? It's meant to be a massive distance.

Its been sped up for the sake of TV obviously.

To be honest, until I read the recap of the episode online I'd forgotten who he was. If they'd left it even longer even less people would have remembered him.

Decent episode.

I like that the show is deviating from the books (apparently, I haven't gotten that far) - means it won't be the same when I do get there.

Loved the ending, even though I have no idea what happened :p

Oh, and that Lannister kid is one lucky dude!

I liked the way they took that scene as close to being 'a bit icky' as they could and just avoided crossing the line. In the books of course with the de-aging, the line is totally crossed and scrubbed out...

I realize that only a century or two ago this sort of marriage involving minors was totally acceptable, but I was worrying that today's audience might get even more angry than they did over the rape scene if they had gone any further than they did.

But god, Dormer is one beautiful lady with the acting skills to make best use of it...

The actor that plays him is 16, so that scene isn't quite as scary as it could have been. The TV series hasn't actually stated his age, but in the books he was 9 when he became king.

Thing is though, the acrtress who plays Margery is much older than her character, while the actor who played Tommen was about right - he looked about 9 or 10.

Trouble is, Natalie Dormer is 32, while the Tommen from series 1/2 was about 10. That would have looked very odd on screen.

Makes sense for them to cast Tommen as older to match that Margery is also older. In the books Tommen was 9 while Margery was 17 - so essentially both children. That would have looked okay on screen. But there's no way viewers would have accepted a 32 year old dormer coming onto the 10 year old Callum Wharry who played Tommen in Series 1/2

He's combo-house Baratheon-Lannister, if you recall when Joffrey was wed.

Yes, Natalie Dormer is the most attractive female, but that prostitute from Winterfall who worked for LittleFinger had the best 'kit' !

I was very sad when stupid Joff killed her... even in death, her kit was... amazing.
