*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

How long does it typically take for GPE devices to get ota updates after the Nexus devices? Is it done by the manufacturer or Google?

Well I got my 32gb N5 yesterday and it's really great apart from one thing, I seem to have a loose power button although not massively so. I'm going to put it in a case anyway but it irks me knowing it's like it. I don't know if I should bother with a replacement or not, would Google replace the phone for this reason?

I believe they have in the past. It's a fairly common "issue" - my own is a little loose, but to be honest I only notice if I put it up to my ear and shake the phone - the feel of the button is so indifferent that I've just had to check if it did move when nudged with a finger (it does).

If the rest of the device is fine, then I personally couldn't care less.

I came to the realisation the other day that mobile phone cameras are all pretty ok when you realise that you need to carry your SLR around to get important shots! I just need to work out whether google support is worth the additional £60 cost on the handset.

I'm leaning towards not... as I can use the difference to buy a wireless charger and case.

Really like the LG G3 keyboard port on the nexus works fantastic and has cool features such as adjusting the height, one handed use etc.

Give it a try!

I'm also on paranoid android now and wondered why I didn't use it sooner! Peek and hover are great features :-)

Good choice on the ROM :P

I dunno if I prefer hover over the old halo yet, But I like how they are trying to keep it stock looking. Looking at iOS8 this morning hahahaha. I've had this reply thing for almost 2 years?

According to xda users:

As per the feedback by few users on earlier pages in this thread, the hissing sound in video recording is still there. With regards to the dark video in low light, there is contrasting opinion. Some say it's still the same while 1-2 feel it's been improved.
