If it's any consolation to show watchers who've been accidentally spoiled, within a couple of years the show will be full of spoilers for book readers. There's no way GRRM is ever finishing this series unless HBO ghost write it for him.

FFS, you've done it again. Just stop commenting in here please if you can't leave your hints and winks at the door.

My God...

Not only do you think that the fight was a draw, you also believe a blatant ****take saying that The Mountain has been given a cupid potion and ends up settling down with Cersei.

Honestly... HELLO!

ED: Also, the last winky post was in reference to me 'revealing' the incredible revelation of Cersei being alive in the next episode. Totally screwed it for you now eh?

It has already started, partly due to one of HBO's synopsis of an earlier episode that pretty much confirmed who was behind the White Walkers whilst the books still have it as a mystery.

Yeah, it's very interesting to see what they're doing with the walkers. Apart from a few scenes, it's all pretty much fresh material.

That 'king of the walkers' scene was awesome and never even hinted at afaik. I do wonder how that baby survived the journey in that weather with just a crappy blanket though...

Blimey o Riley there are so many panties in a twist in here.

And having it confirmed by someone who's read the books that he isn't dead is a spoiler.

This is the contested offending post

Because both of them didn't die and even if The Mountain did die there, he ended the other guy first...

Which is entirely factually accurate. You did not see the mountain die. That fact is not a spoiler. The next bit of my argument is in spoiler tags because it is related to plot

He even tried to through you off with the he who dies first bit which doesn't really matter

Then

Really? People make assumptions about The Mountain being dead and I'm spoiling it by saying that he isn't?

Again, he has not confirmed anything. He has is reiterating, you did not see the mountain die.

I am more suspicious of the people who guess right, while claiming to have not read the books. I can imagine a sad act who pretends to guess right to feel better about themselves for some perverse imagined internet glory.

This! I'm pretty sure some people in this thread have been 'guessing' whilst already having read the books.

Lets close the thread and just enjoy the show in silence :p

but how else will people be able to gloat that they've watched the show illegally before us mere peasants who watch it on sky ?

no - there have been a few - this is the one I took issue with:

Really? People make assumptions about The Mountain being dead and I'm spoiling it by saying that he isn't?

he's also posted a couple of times about actually knowing what happens in the books...

Actually, I do know :)

Again, he has not confirmed anything. He has is reiterating, you did not see the mountain die.

he has confirmed something - he confirmed that the mountain isn't dead at the end of the fight... that wasn't clear at the end of the TV show as several people have already pointed out - he suffered several wounds during the fight that could feasibly kill someone then rolled over and collapsed... its a fairly reasonable assumption that he could be dead too. It doesn't require confirmation either way by someone who actually knows what is going to happen - that is still a spoiler regardless of whether it turns out to be a significant plot point or not. The thread title is pretty clear - no spoilers.... not no spoilers but you can reveal/confirm stuff and drop hints about other things if you deem them to be less important and/or you think some discussion is silly because you've read the books and know what is going to happen.

Thanks Bunny. I'm glad someone sees it for what it is :)
True, there are one or two guesses that are bit too suspiciously accurate.

Careful with the spoiler rage chaps. It made MoRT go full retard and you never go full retard.

@dowie
I have confirmed that I know. That is all.

Look! I've read the 3rd book, but I've forgotten if he dies or not. The book talks about him wounded after the fight... but whether he survives or not I cannot recall.

SO, the TV series may well just show him basically dead after the fight, dieing from woulds after the fight, or recovering... All options are still open.

So really, no real harm done - Let's just move on :)

no you confirmed that he isn't dead...

perhaps just stop commenting on speculation if you already know what is going to happen

And provided reasons for that based on what happened in the show.
I didn't just come along and say "Hay guiz, I read the books and he's alive! Ner ner ne ner ner! This is what happens next..."

Yes, perhaps having knowledge of what happens influenced me, but like I said, if you pay attention to what's happening in the show, you can see it for yourself like some of the others here have done.
The fact is, you didn't see him die. Whether you assumed it or not is down to you.

While you guys have been occupied with this, you really should have been paying attention to the characters and storyline that led up to this and speculating on a whole bunch of other related and much more important stuff.

Anyway, how about we leave it now? This is going in circles and will only continue to be a battle of pedantry.

Alternative... just unsubscribe?

I've read the books, it doesn't affect me either way. I just don't get how some people don't understand the rules of this thread

When I talk about the show to friends who haven't read the books I'm always stopping myself from saying things because I want them to have the same 'wtf' moments that I had when reading.

'Some people'?

If you're talking about me then at least have the balls to address me directly. Not that I have to explain myself yet again...

If you're not referring to me, then apologies.

ED: My bad. Disregard :)
