Please share these videos then. If you don't' want to donate then you don't have to, that is what a donation is if you were not already aware.
I am an atheist.
Whilst most of the times I can see different points of views I am struggling with this. I don't mean any direspect either.
'Preachers' speak 'the word of God' and 'enlighten' followers. Educating them about religion, etc. Some may argue this does command a wage / salary / donations. They are for all intensive purposes a teacher or some sort.
An atheist preacher / speaker? Teaching you nothing. There is nothing to believe in. Zero. Zilch.
Why doesn't he do what 99% of atheiests do? Not give a ****?
The OP is putting the word out in the hope that like minded people might donate. I'd hardly call that begging, it's raising consciousness regarding a very important issue. Granted, here in the UK, many people couldn't give a toss about what goes on in America.
BTW, Arron Ra isn't just some YT atheist posting videos. He spends a lot of time giving lectures around the US and has appeared on 'The Atheist Experience' TV show twice as a guest host. He's as committed to his cause as Richard Dawkins, just not quite as well known.
No one said we couldn't have threads on atheism but why not start one with a discussion rather than a one in a million guy asking for money to drop his day job and do something he enjoys.
Why would I do that when I don't support them? None of my money goes to religious views of any kind as I previously said but don't let that point upset your comeback

Therefore they have nothing to preach.
I play football. Would love to play football more. However I have a job (coincidently in insurance) that I have to go to all day.
PAY ME SO I CAN PLAY FOOTBALL MORE PLEASE!!!

I rarely if ever donate to anything in my entire life. Bar a few things here and there. I have certainly never donated on a monthly basis. This just shows that me posting this is not something that i would ever usually do and i completely understand if you don't want to donate, especially if you never heard of the guy. I don't see what him being american has to do with it though. I would suggest watching his videos first of course, otherwise you would be donating blindly and would be no better than a religious blindly throwing money at a cause.
That's so not true.
Atheism is a belief system, it is not absence of belief but belief in absence of God(s).
You may think that you are better than "a religious" and you may think your cause better, but you are wrong.
Not sure if the definition has changed but atheism is the belief that there are no gods is it not?

Again, how would anyone else benefit from you playing football? at least if you make an analogy make it relevant.
If you have something that you think people will pay for, then create an art account on pateron and we can see if people do want to watch you play football or pc games.
Atheism is nothing more than a lack of a belief in a god or deity for most.

I identify as the latter as would most atheists (agnostic atheism).

Same goes for your American hero. 99.9% of the people will not benefit from your hero making more videos. Only the people interested in him.
I bet football has more of a following than he does though.
The westborough baptist church goes around america lecturing people too, but would I want to give them money?
I have no idea what they teach, as I'm not an atheist and not daft enough to give one money and watch their lectures.
It is a positive belief in something though, not absence of belief. It is a belioef that there is no deity/are no deities. Saying that it is unbelief or absence of belief is incorrect.
