*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

That's suprising and interesting mine aren't peeling but I don't find them grippy. I modified many 360 controllers effectively making them into a Scuf so I'm sure I'm capable.

Other news my TLOU just got shipped yippeee. However GameStop sent 6 confirmation emails and I've heard people have got charged multiple times hope i havent lol.

My PS4 is slightly bent in the middle, only two of the feet touch at any point and it tips if you move it. It's only a mm or two but the bottom of the PS4 touches the ground in the middle. No idea how it happened as it went from argos to my shelf and has been there ever since. Lucky I got 'any circumstance' insurance with it so I should be able to swap it over. I wouldn't bother but it makes a subtle but nasty grinding sound when switched on. :(

TL: DR: How much of a ballache is it to reinstall games, save points etc to a new console?

All PS4's 'wobble'

The grinding sound however doesn't sound normal.

The left hand side of the ps4 is designed to not be supported to stop hard drive vibration. There are feet on the right and one in the middle.

Is that why it's missing? I thought it was more the stupider decision that when its stood up that extra foot would look out of place. It's a poor oversight whatever excuse they use.

ps3ud0

Well there's most certainly some kind of vibration happening, and not the feel-good kind either. More of an oh-crap-my-electronics-are-broke kind of vibration. Didn't know about the design though, I figured someone had moved it and stood on it or something. I was looking for an arse to insert my foot in but if it's normal then I'll give up the chase. :D

Guess it sucked a bit of crap in and it's rubbing on a fan or something like that.

Got the xbox one thumb sticks fitted, there a huge improvement, been slightly longer it seems to have shifted my hands slightly improving where my fingers are placed on the triggers.

So much better aren't they? :)

Loved my controller even more since doing that mod.

replacing with xbone sticks

Why not just use the concave Orb thumb grips? Almost identical and means you don't have to take the controller apart. TBH I don't know how anyone can use the tiny analogue sticks without extra grips on, they're so fiddly and not grippy!

Second Son uses it quite well.

barely, could be used for a few other things to make it more than just a gimmick.

I preferred the sticks without grips on, until they went smooth and started crumbling. I tried a few grips and they just all felt wrong, so i switched my sticks instead as i didn't want to wait however long it was for a replacement from Sony.

Sony finally making some good profit ($260 million), sales of PS3+PS4 combined for Q1 were 3.5 million, this is compared to 1.1 million for 360/XB1 and 1.33 million for 3DS/Wii U.

Basically PS3/PS4 combined, of which most of those were PS4's outsold both Microsoft and Nintendo's consoles combined.

On my PC, I have one of those 2560x1080 screens.
And for my PS4 I use a 27" 1080p screen.

Anyway, Blu-rays were working fine on the PS4 (In that, ones 16:9 would work as they would, and those ultra wide screen ones would black bar, as they should)

However, as of the latest update, when I put in Pirates Of The Caribbean last night, it stretched it (Upwards and downwards to remove the black bars, so everyone look odd) and I couldn't get it to change back to regular with black bars.

I put it in my PC, and it displayed correctly, so it was the PS4 at fault.

Anyone else experienced that?

It sits fine and only rocks if you poke it. Not sure I see an issue tbh...:)

The rocking isn't an issue, I just didn't know about it and thought I needed to beat someone for standing on my PS4. Combined with the grinding noise my console makes, it wasn't a huge jump of logic. :)

It still works fine though, can't wait to get TLOU on it later.

Received new stock this morning and noticed something somewhat interesting; it seems that the console included in the TLoU bundles is a newer revision than the others. All the other solo/bundle stock we have is CUH-1003A whereas the TLoU one carried the code CUH-1116A (I think).

Might be of use to anyone who's looking to buy one and wants to ensure they get the latest model. No idea what the differences are (if any) or if they're significant. Not likely to be any major changes this early on though.

Something to do with new processor clock speeds at 2.75ghz and the WLAN (PIFA rather than IFA).
