Cant wait to see what annoying trials are ahead for my exotic bounty - hoping I get some luck and get one dropped like I saw someone have in PvP today. Finally got to level 25, thugh no luck with legendary drops still :(

I'm level 24 (or 25 can't remember) and had a few legendary drops. Got one which was a helmet - but not for my class... grrrr... then got another (purple ball) but when I decoded it - it became rare.... double grrrrr... then a third... which was a slightly inferior main weapon to my equipped legendary. So basically out of 5 drops, I've only had two that are useful. Never seen an exotic.

So how did you get an exotic bounty? From the bounty board? Or was it a message from the post dude?
 
Does anybody else notice the connections in 6v6 can be a bit iffy? Plenty of times I've shot someone and they've died a few seconds later but in 3v3 it seems fine.

Yeah I noticed this quite a bit, I thought it might be down to ammo still penetrating armour?

Good games last night, although I was owned in all the matches.

I played again later with randoms which were more my level.
 
Well, 2 characters on level 20.

A Hunter (Gunslinger) and a Warlock (Sunslinger), my hunter is coop play with my bro whilst the Warlock is my when he's not on character. Both very different style of play and so much fun!

Now to work my way up the Light ranking, Vangard and maybe joining a fraction. I want purple gear!

Level 1-10 is the usual RPG mission grind (learning the mechanics) but once you hit 18 and then 20, it's a different kind of game, the world opens up even more. Where it's not just a grind, but the team working on strikes and teaming up with someone like me (Sunslinging and boosting team mates Super Attacks) makes high level fights manageable.

Definitely worth it and glad I enjoyed the Beta and thus, getting the game at launch.

Not really apart from the extra bonuses base on class/subclass.

Best to focus on Strength to get the throwing knife back quicker and gears that makes you melee faster. I use to carry a hand cannon/shotgun combo but since the knife and faster melee, I can carry sniper or fusion rifle instead. More versatile than a blunderbuss.

Ah yes bladedancer sub class, I'm hoping I can improve melee kills in gunslinger class though as well as I like to use the hand cannon!
 
Definitely agree with the game opening up once you hit the higher levels comment, seem to have made a vast improvement once I got to 18 or so. Still not completed the story and only just got to Mars so also unsure on why people are saying the story is short and mishmashed, seems pretty good to me but I guess people are just skipping the side quests, patrols and strikes, which are ridiculously good fun.

Tried PVP again at the higher teen levels and I must just suck. Still getting one shot and still seem to take an age to kill anything unless I'm supercharged. Maybe that'll change once my gear is up to scratch but I guess by then everyone else will be in the same boat.
 
Oh bloody hell, finally get a chance to play the PS4 and my drive has stopped working, so now I can't even play Destiny.

Am I missing much? (everyone in my freinds list is playing it so I guess that's a yes).

PvP is an odd one on Destiny, especially on Control and the Deathmatches where your items, apart from the none damage perks (more ammo/mag etc) are damage levelled.

So it's not exactly your gear, i.e. a level 2 with his hand cannon can still kill you the same as your rare level 18 hand cannon dealing 5 times the amount of damage.

I still keep a spare Level 10 shotgun on me when I go online, certain CQB maps demands a need for it and you'll win 9 times out of ten around the corner / radar playing, because the perk allows it to reload stupidly fast.
 
Well i am at around 80 hours played and loot system starts to **** me off. I had legendary scour rifle well i am **** with aming so my blue auto and pulse rifles are better in my case. A purple baxooka that is ahsin useless as i miss 50% of time. But thats ok. I had 2 purple heads and a ****ing legendary plus 2 gloves. ALL FOR DOFFERENT CLASS!!! What the **** i run in blues grind 15 hours every day since lunch and.... **** all. At lest got my rep to lvl3 on one banner. I feel like i am wasting my time here :(
 
So I managed to get myself to level 20 and I got my first epic drop which was a hand cannon, it’s taken me a while to get used to it but being a titan while gaining a shield on mele attacks my play style. At the moment I only have my brother and a friend on my friends list and I am part of the Clan but I don’t have any others to play with.

I will be starting to get my vanguard rep up and also I must finish the story line!

80 hours out of one game seems good value to me
still theres the expansions, the events etc to come

Sounds like my luck too - everything purple goes blue :p

IIRC when you hand in a bounty there's a small chance youll be offered an exotic one. Not sure if you need to be of a certain main level/exp though

Its because I think legendary drops can be for any class - highlight a blue/purple engram and you'll see its a class independent drop
