How the heck did you get items for a different class? You bought wrong items or did you use a different class to decrypt?

Not sure if you know you but patrol, Ishtar Commons on Venus a good place to farm.

All legendary and exotic gear gained from ingrams is random and not set to your current class (yes that is a pain). If you look at the wording on them it does states random class. As BG found out last night his legendary ingram decoded into a yellow exotic but for a different class, not happy after that.

What's the quickest way to get your crucible rep up? Need to be level 2 before the raid but only just got to 1 - do the differing matches gain different amounts of rep dependent on loss/win and are any of them quick to farm?

The answer would be to level all 3 classes. I imagine most will do that anyway to try them all out?

ZED - We are only a week in and 80 hours? Wowzer!

Never knew about the legendary / exotic, that said, I am only level 20 and rare ingrams are what I'm getting. Need more time to play, beyond working, eating and sleeping. I'm sure I can cut out sleeping... just have more coffee during eating!

All seems to give the same rep, just go with the bounties that are straight forward to get (kill X of this class, kill x with headshots etc), and it helps get the level up that bit quicker.

+1, bounties seem to be the fastest way by far for me to get rep up.

otherwise, I've been playing a lot of control. find it is usually quicker to finish a game than deathmatch, and haven't tried any of the 3v3 modes yet.

Well i am at around 80 hours played and loot system starts to **** me off. I had legendary scour rifle well i am **** with aming so my blue auto and pulse rifles are better in my case. A purple baxooka that is ahsin useless as i miss 50% of time. But thats ok. I had 2 purple heads and a ****ing legendary plus 2 gloves. ALL FOR DOFFERENT CLASS!!! What the **** i run in blues grind 15 hours every day since lunch and.... **** all. At lest got my rep to lvl3 on one banner. I feel like i am wasting my time here :(

yeah gearing up is a bit RNG in the first week, however, as long as you grind out 100 marks in PvE / PvP and focus on getting your rep up to rank 2, it is possible to buy 4 slots of legendary armor for your character in 2 weeks, which will get you ready to raid.

do you need to be at a certain level for the crucible marks, because I have played PvP a few times now and dont seem to earn any marks, I'm at level 16.

3v3 maps are generally quicker to finish than the 6v6 modes (think its 10min as apposed to 15mins), so if its just rep you want it might be a quicker way to level it up

ok I'm level 16 and noticed on story missions on the moon when I changed difficulty to hard a little heroic icon appeared, whats that all about?

On a side note, I love them random events that pop up during patrol, there should be more of that kind of stuff.

Its a modifier. Certain strikes etc at later levels have modifiers which make it more challenging/interesting. Heroic means more enemies and more aggresseive enemies.

One I stumbled on yesterday was called the Juggler where no ammo is dropped for the weapon you have equipped, so you have to keep switching weapons to get ammo.

Other ones give a bonus to certain types of damage (e.g. Arc damage) but this applies to the enemies as well as you so although you do more damage so do the enemies. Havent came across many other types yet.
