Yes, I suppose they will need help rebuilding that plastics factory after this is over and the show moves to another country. I wonder how long it will take for Cameron to decide that they need to bomb Syria as well. On satellite TV, Euronews, they are reporting that British, French and American special forces have been operating in Iraq and Syria for weeks. So much for no boots on the ground.

as you are probably well aware 'boots on the ground' is a term used to reference a traditional ground invasion which is obviously not occurring. Special forces and intel would have been operating for weeks to identify and locate targets for the air strikes. Unless you would prefer indiscriminate WW2 style bombing raids?

Tbf he probably isn't aware. Some people on this forum seem to have massive difficulties understanding little subtleties such as metaphors :D

problem with that though is if we resorted to dumb munitions, the do-gooders would complain that we were being indiscriminate in our campaign.

The thing is most Iraqis would happily live their lives with nothing to do with us, we wanted to play world police with the Americans and removed Saddam and the Iraqi army.

Now its over run by barbaric sickos...we can either help the people of leave them be, bombing indiscriminately would only fuel more hate towards us.
