So Ive been scammed on Gumtree... what are my options?

Just have to pay to get 8pac and freefaller round there, who needs baseball bats.
What are they going to do? Throw LN2 deep frozen salad at him?

Sounds unfortunate. 
i've used Gumtree quite a bit and never had any issues. I'd never send money though, cash on collection once i'm happy with the item or gtfo.

I am indeed an absolute utter tool for doing what I did. The worst thing is Ive been patiently waiting for these items to come available local for like 2 months but I thought id take the chance (FOOL).
POTENTIAL GOOD NEWS THOUGH. I am on the phone to the fraud team at barclays and they say that his account looks like a typical fraudsters account and are going to put a block on the transaction... but I am on hold now so hoping that does indeed happen!!

A quick message to each of them will sort that out... "Hi, soandso told me you are selling some soandso's?"
the hypothetical last name might be in the "palmer" of your hand.
just got off the phone with barclays.. they said it looks like a typical scam account. I think they have blocked the transaction however They say I must email [email protected] with any evidence I have and that can take a month.. so guess Ill be doing that now.

The results are interesting if you do a Google Image search, unless that's just how Gumtree does it. The way Google displays the results, it seems to me that those images have been used for numerous listings, or is that just Gumtree making content localised? It basically says "Used Performance & DJ Equipment for Sale for sale in ..." and "dj decks in Northumberland | Gumtree Decks & Turntables ..." amongst a few other listings.
I would screenshot the messages and send them as attachments.
