Cheers guys. so relieved it's over, my heart was pounding through my chest at the start of the slalom! And at the end of the mod2 I honestly didn't know if I'd passed or not.

Just had a thought, I have half of next week off work and was going to try and get some test rides in, but of course they've taken my licence away to be sent off, so I only have the mod2 pass certificate. Anyone done test rides with just the pass certificate and no actual licence?

I doubt any dealer would let you test ride a bike without both parts of your licence.

Hard to say, just phone up and check, you'll probably need a passport to back up your id.

I doubt they will have a problem with it.

Plus, the DVLA are pretty good these days, you'll likely have your licence by Tuesday next week.

There will be differences like tread depth of a tyre, stopping distances (?) etc so could well be worth it.

You should know it all, whether you do is another matter though. There's a couple of websites that have free practice tests which are useful. You won't have done the hazard perception before either...

Yeah hazard perception will be the biggest thing, get a DVD to practice it, you need to work out how to "play the game"

It's official!

I've been refreshing that website every few hours since I passed


Interesting info kreeee, I think it would be more beneficial to new learners to have the mod 2 fee reduced! £75 is pretty steep considering they don't even provide a test bike!

How long did it take for the DVLA website to update with your new licence details? been checking mine every day since I passed on Wednesday but it still doesn't show the update.

May not be the same time frame, though it's still the DVLA, but when I traded in my bike on 2nd October the roadtax was still active for a week. I checked daily to ensure they had received my V5 trade in slip.

Long. It took ages for it to update, I was genuinely concerned at one point. It'll update though. Check every day
