Assassin's Creed: Unity

So, I've put a few hours in to this now.

It started off great, 1080p Ultra settings with TXAA. Played like that for around an hour.

Thought I would test 4K out. Cranked the res up and turned off TXAA (not really needed at 4K) got a super steady 15 FPS... I guess I won't be playing it at 4K.

Few more missions in and I came across my first
rift
which is where it went south, fast!

Frames dropped to mid 20's so I had to disable TXAA completely which boosted the frames to 45 ish.

Also, Tessellation is currently disabled.

That TotalBiscuit video is just hilarious. I actually watched the entire thing and am left saddened at what the franchise has now come to. Guess my only fond memories of AC will be the titles before AC3.

hes so on the mark about the pre order culture. Why would ubisoft care, people will lap this stuff up in bucket loads. Its the same with the yearly rehashes.

Ill not be jumping on Farcry4 or Division till i see some reviews.

At least Dragon Age looks to be universally applauded

After watchdogs I swore I'd never buy a Ubisoft game until it was so cheap they couldn't make any profit on it. See you in the 2016 sales AC-Unity ;)

Sad that it's just going down the hole, I'll be avoiding the new Dragon Age too until REAL gamers have given their verdict (in other words OCUKers.)

Damn...I was actually looking forward to Unity after not 'feeling' Black Flag due to its overabundance of sailing. I didn't want to play a pirate game and so it just didn't click with me like past AC games have. Anyway, looks like I'll be holding off even longer with all the issues this has.
