** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

I really hope loads of new games get made off the back of this. Good ones. Not **** ones.

One can dream :o

people here think the film is for them... WRONG it is for a new generation of kids..

no one picks apart Toy Story for a poor plot or voice over...

man so many here missing the point!

Do you approve of the New Light Sabre?

Yes

No

Whats a Light a Sabre

I myself think it looks crap but the trailer looks ace and really hooks in to the look and feel of the original star wars thank god:)

I must be in the minority, but i kinda like the new light sabre. Either way, looking forward to this, I even enjoyed Episode 1 so I surely can't dislike this :p

The voice-over, its the most interesting thing about the trailer.

It could be, along with the Sith/Dark Jedi at the end, Benedict Cumberbatch.

I can't help but agree with you.
The voice over sounds very like Khan (Star Trek into Darkness) but apparently Cumberbatch has nothing to do with Star Wars... ;)

As for that lightsaber with the funky hilt, the wielder is more likely to cut his own wrist off, rather than decapitate any one else... :o

Sounded like two different pwople though! The first was Chumblybach (or sounded like him) the second (talking about Dark and Light) sounded different!!!

and the Falcon would need a new dish cos it got 'Tesco Wing-Mirrored' at the end of Jedi... :)

That Sith Lord could well be Gwendoline Christie. I can't help but think it's her with the red lightsaber when I watched it again. Not sure how I'd feel about it being her.

To be honest, my main thought was that, if the rumours are true and this is set 10 years after RotJ, why are they still using X-Wings and TIE fighters?

It's set more than 10 years after ROTJ, especially if one of those characters is as rumoured to be, Han's daughter. WIth the age of the originals I always thought they were going for 30 years after ROTJ.

Agree with all your points, especially about Rebels, what annoyed me most was when he said "having a laser sword doesn't make you a Jedi" a laser sword? Laser. Sword.

My son loves it, he's watched them all over and over. It's our thursday thing to sit and watch the new one if he's been good. I'm never dissapointed if he's been bad and we don't watch it for a week :D It's just awful, Star Wars christmas special awful. Yet the commissioned a 2nd series before the pilot had aired. Purely because you only have to go into a toysrus or see the incoming lego sets to see how much has been invested in the rebels series. Even the art work is terrible, it's drawn like Aladdin :D

Yeah I said that time and time again on here. I am looking forward more to being in the cinema with my son watching it and seeing his reaction. Adults will pick this one apart as much as the prequels because they will wee all over their originals. My 5 year old will reach for AOTC and ROTS before any of the originals. The phantom menace he's just waiting for the fight at the end. I think if anyone thinks we are going to get action in line with the originals they are deluded. You only have to see that falcon motion to see that will also be cranked up 10 notches. No more lazy listing to the left ;)

My son will eat up the merchandising and that is the target audience, 5 year old boys to hook for another 10 years :)

I think it's done like they did Mark Hamill as Darth Bane in the clone wars...

I think that voice over will be Luke.

I loved the prequels. :D

I love lots of aspects about them, mostly I love how much my son has let it become most of what he thinks about like I did in 1980 :D I have on video the first time he watched AOTC and when Yoda pulled out a sabre.

I can even forgive TPM, I love the duel of the fates music and the Maul fight. I used to hate it, I will admit sitting in the cinema and when they said in ROTS "She's dieing and we don't know why, she losing the will to live" I said out loud, I know the feeling. Yet I really didn't get it until my son and nephews came along. Everything my son picks up becomes a lightsabre like that fat kid in his legendary broomstick darth maul video :D

He doesn't care about the terrible acting, anymore than I did in the originals. None of us questioned how utterly retarded it was to have a teenager who had only flown T16's bullseyeing wamp rats to be given a X wing he had never flown before into the most crucial battle. Which is as ridiculous a premise as the President flying a fighter in Independence day. ;)

Looks pretty damn fine to me, and actually brought back some of those feelings I had seeing stuff from the original film emerge. Now sitting here with my nine year old, watching the trailer, he is getting excited in the same way I was then... when that new lightsabre appeared he went 'woah' 'epic!!!' ... and yeah, the nine year old in me loves it too... be gone you boring naysayers :p

One of the things im most excited about is seeing Mark Hamill reprise his role.
iv absolutely loved his voice over work in games and cant wait to see him in a huge movie again like this.
