Yes you can.

You can connect a monitor to the board and browse/youtube on it and connect a monitor to the card set it as primary and games will start up on it.
 
Not really a specific reason, I was just curious. My biggest issue still is the output. I've currently got an old VGA monitor, so I'm using a HDMI to VGA converter. However when I was looking at getting a new monitor I noticed that all the ASUS ones 21.5 and under (don't want any larger) still only have VGA input. Will the conversion cable still allow me to get 1080p on the new monitor?

A converter should manage 1080P, its the higher resolutions that are hard which is why you tend to want to use a DP to VGA/DVI "active" adapter.

I thought the cable would have to be moved right? Guess not then, I'll step out of this, not sure after that :) I'll let you explain :)
 
So I've bought a GTX 770. I'm assuming that it'll be fine with a 550w psu and just a case fan + stock cpu cooler.

Based on the raijintek case, I'm assuming I'll have to move the SSD to the 3.5 bay and use a 2.5 to 3.5 extender.
 
Any reason why you are limiting your monitor choices to 21.5" and under?
Now would be a good time to grab a nice 23-24" HDMI/DVI monitor to fully utilise.
 
I've just always preferred a 21.5 as I sit quite close to the screen.

Looking at geforce's website, it says that the GTX 770 requires a 600w psu minimum. I know people have said it'll be OK with the corsair 550 w, but I just wanted to make sure. Do geforce overestimate or something?

The extra few inches make all the different, I also sit very close with a 29" ;).

And they always overestimate to account for 'cheaper' PSU's, the one you have is decent so will be more than fine. It will pull at max 220-250 watts I'd say.
 
I've got an issue installing my GTX 770. I know the procedure to install it but I can't line up the input section on the back of the PC.

How do I get those grills at the back off?
 
OK, so I installed everything, put all the wires back and now.....the PC won't power up at all. When I flick the switch and try to boot it nothing happens? Any ideas, I'm stuck.
 
IS the power on at the wall?

Is there a power switch on the PSU and its off?

Check you have the cases power switch on the correct pins.

Do you have both 24pin and 4/8pin ATX power cables plugged in?
