Just been messing with my mutant x clone, yeah this clones bad because the air holes are far too high up above where the coils are supposed to sit...

So iv come up with a plan whilst my new clone takes 2 weeks or so to arrive from ft,

Iv raised the coils a lot right up to the air holes and directly in the firing line of the air holes, and JESUS I thought this thing was good before, pwoarrrrrrrh I actually got a nicotine rush even from 6mg juice.
now that iv raised the coils, the flavour is absolutely immense, best iv ever tasted.

heres pictures, its 0.8ohms, 30g kanthal, 9 wraps I think I did each.

as you can see here air holes are way too high up.

Don't worry I made sure the cotton sat nicely inside when it was wet :)

Best. Atty. Ever.

Been playing with the UTA all evening, done a few different builds in it, with different resistance and juices. It just wicks soooooo well! Settled on this build for now, with Scopes VG heavy Secret Sauce at 6mg, so much nom.

(yes I know the coils no in the middle, I moved it after taking the pics)

Im guessing this sin't available for purchase yet?

Hey guys ordered one of these coil tools this morning well worth £10 :)

Cheers all

Pointless but then I am old skool and there is nothing wrong with wrapping kantal around a drill bit. It doesn't exactly make it easier to wrap. Now if there was an automatic coil winding tool and one that measured resistance on the fly then I would be interested as I am a mech user.

Is that not upside down?

Hey majnu how's it going, yes just had a look, only took Chels 12 months to give the people what they wanted. Looks like business really took off for him over the last year. Not sure how durable the anodized finnish will be but does look nice.
Not sure why he's having difficulty getting the titanium in the quantities he would be needing, I've struggled to find small quantities and had to rely on flebay for odd sizes. Would be a nice mod in titanium as it is quite a heavy little thing, still use mine regularly :D
I do feel the world has gone mad with gimmicks at the moment, atties made with 40 odd parts:rolleyes: maybe i'm getting old:eek: I just like to keep it simple.

Definitely gone mad but then vaping has now appealed to a "younger" generation who like all the added faf and techno babble.

He mentioned that his source for Ti was Ukraine so then it's understandable why he cannot get large quantities but then again he was supposed to make a titanium version years ago long before the Ukranian crisis.

I would have liked it if he incorporated a system without sacrificing on style and size that allowed 3 tier illumination around the button that showed battery level. I can always go by instinct and it's pretty easy to tell when you're battery is getting flat.

Has there been any revisions or new atomizers made for the current MS? The temon and penelope do look nice (I have these currently) but I do prefer RDA's like the Kayfun mini but I didn't like how it protruded further out than the atomizers I mentioned also it didn't have a clear tank (I like to look at how much juice is left).

What do you use in yours again? iirc you had the Kayfun mini and a GP spheroid.

Nope that's what I thought, if its the other way up then the top cap thing that you twist to adjust the air flow doesn't even reach the holes. Its a terribly made clone.

I thought the whole point of the slighted holes was that it caused a cyclone affect by bringing in air from the bottom of the coils.. If it's yours to keep, can you not take a few mm off what I think is the top so that the airflow control does cover the holes when it's upside down, or are the posts too high?

Well iv got another better clone of this mutation x on its way, so ill have to use this one for now.

and iv thought about doing that, but don't know what id use to do it, would take hours of rubbing it on sand paper lol, and if I used a hacksaw, it wouldn't be a perfect cut, and I don't own a dremmel.

I guess I could have a go at it tomorrow if I have time, don't fancy going out to the shed in this rain, and the light in the shed doesn't work any more and its going dark, so it will have to be tomorrow if I have a go at it.

all though, theres one advantage of the air holes being so high up it and the coils now. I can use it kinda like a tank, fill it right up with juice in the bottom there. haha

Sorry I just re watched RIP trippers review on it.. He's certainly have the hole towards the top, but his air flow control and bottom deck touch each other then when it's on.

yup like I say this is a bad clone unfortunately. but I got recommended a good one by petey on the last page for 7 quid, so ill have to wait for that one

Nah not yet, Think the maker is having a bit of a rest them he's planning on another batch.

On the subject the UTA is the best RTA I've used, nothing ever gets a look in anymore, not even the (genuine) KF4... :)

I hear they are quite expensive though?

Anyone got a Lemo drop? Tempted to get a black one to go with my black hana modz...

You get what you pay for IMO.

Just look at the MX clone above. :D

*No offence IceShock, just using you as an example. :)

True, how much are they going to retail at? Surely there does come a point where it doesn't correlate anymore though.

I bought a clone kayfun for £30. It was nice, bought a real one for ~£100. Wasn't 3 times better...

I recently bought a Rose V2 clone, very impressed, better than both of the kayfuns. The real one though, for 10x more, I doubt would be 10x better.

Your old Hana Modz is still going strong dude!

Iv just been watching a few videos,

Okay so my vamo v6 3w to 20w, that's a Mod correct,

and a mechanical mod doesn't have a lcd screen etc, you just press fire button and you cant change the wattage etc, so may I ask, what the advantages to using one of these would be because how the hell do you know what wattage your at? if its burning too hot, you cant turn it down youd have to create a different coil or something.

or is there something im missing? cheers :)

You build your coils differently, A mechanical mod will fire whatever you put on it so Sub ohmers can whack on a 0.08 ohm atomizers and Vape away.

So it means your device wont limit what you put on there.

that's my take on it, I used mechanicals as my daily for a long time, goy my box now and will never look back.

I did have a SVD but found 15w was just not enough, I Vape my 150w at 40-50 in the day and up to 80-90-100 in the evening depending on what I'm doing

okay so a mechanical mod will fire at like the best amount of say wattage then? no matter what coil you put on it?

I like the ability to change how much wattage im using though rather than sticking at a certain level, my vamo goes down to 0.3ohms, which for me, well 0.8ohms im at now is killing my lungs lol at 20w, iv backed it off to 12w and its still performing flawlessly.

so I doubt id like a mech mod if I cant alter how much its producing

also, like, at 20w the clouds are huge, too much for me I aint a cloud chaser im a flavour chaser, and the more clouds its making, the less flavour im getting so why is there a actual need for 100w? is that if your making like crazy quad coils and twisted kanthal jobs and stuff like that or something

Indeed the whole reason behind sub-ohming was because you couldn't adjust anything mod-side for mechanicals and had to do it via the coils.

Now with regulated mods you can still get the effect of sub-ohming (more vapour production) without building with thick wire. Simply bump up the volts for pretty much similar results with 1+ ohm coil(s), with the added benefit of taxing the batteries less.

Okay cheers.

Alright, few more quick questions,

Right my protank 2 mini, iv always built coils around 1.7ohms for it, and its pretty much how I like my flavour.

And iv only ever built what, three dual coils in the past two days which are on my new mutation X clone (though its a bad clone cant wait for my new one to arrive that petey suggested)

And the coils iv made for the mutation x, iv done two coils exactly same amount of wraps but ofc there are two of them.
Yesterday when I was building it with two coils, well when I had one coil on, it was 1.8ohms because I wrapped it exactly the same as iv done for 18 months on my protank2mini. I thought you know... twice as much wire for electric to pass through that will equal twice the ohms right? nope, it halfs it, you can tell im no electrician, anyway my coils are 0.8ohms its reading at.

The clouds are massive etc, no dry hits you get from a tank now and then, its just simply vapour to the coil and vape, etc.

Anyway, with two coils, its using my batteries charge twice as fast, not a problem for me, Iv got about 4 charged at any given time ready to swap.

But anyway, yeah two coils, the vape is a lot lot warmer than id get with a single coil of the same wraps, so what would I have to do to get a cooler vape, make the coils with more wraps and get a higher ohms, or wrap them on a wider drill bit? But if I did that, would I need more or less wattage for it to fire and vape because theres two coils not one

Thanks :)

still little confused with the electrical side of it
