Yeah Roc's are a good shout although I seemed to get stuck in a loop of; Omnigul, Dust Palance, Omnigul, Cerberus Vae, Omnigul, Dust Palace, Omnigul...
 
Omnigul's not so bad, at least you can pop ether seeds, then black wax idol and get a decent amount of glimmer as well.

Only annoying thing with Rocs is the number of AFKers. I always make sure to report them...at least it doesn't really matter only being down to two as you can just go speed run mode and skip most of them.

What level and class are you?

I'm running it with my usual group tonight - I think we have a few open spots. We've killed HM Crota 4-5 times now so the whole raid should take less than an hour tops.

I got some decent weapon drops but I didn't get a chest piece, don't think I'll ever get to 32! :(

Got 2x No Land Beyond :o Abyss Defiant & Word of Crota
 
What is the deal with drops?

I have a 32 and a 30 (with potential for 32 - full CE raid armour).

Now should I run normal mode first then hard mode or just run hard mode on the 32?

With the 30 I can easily do the lamps and the bridge on hard mode but I won't bother with the rest and do them on normal.

Like in VOG there is no point running NM because you get double drops on Hard Mode? Or should you do both?

I know that deathsinger is a single drop so just do that on normal, no point in doing it on hard. But what about everything else.
 
You get double drops of armour/radiant materials at Abyss, Bridge and Crota. You only get the chest and deathsinger once.

You only get primary weapons on hard, secondary and heavies on normal.

I'm a 32 Warlock, have fully maxed 331 Abyss, 331 IB and 331 HOC (no horn)

I might also have a 32 Hunter if the shards from the first chest drop!

Double drops on both raids or just hard?

I need the heavy weapons, got 2 black hammers and the shotgun already. Sharded about 3 black hammers in fact as well.

So I want the rocket launcher, but after I get it should I just run hard or both?

So NM do you get doubly on abyss, bridge and crota?

Then on HM you get double again on the above drops?
 
Ignoring chest/deathsinger...

Normal mode will drop armour/radiants/secondaries/heavies

Hard mode will drop armour/radiants/primaries

If you do hard mode without doing normal, you get the armour/radiant drops from normal as well, but not weapons. I don't think I have ever seen armour drop from HM though, may just be me, but I think this is how it works.

Short version = if you don't want secondaries/heavies, you are better doing just HM (if you can be arsed with it :))

Double drops only on hard (apart from the Deathsinger check point). The difference is that on hard mode you have the chance to get the raid primary weapons. If you only after the HoC you will need to do NM, as it wont drop from hard.

I'll just tell you what I have probably be better that way.

2 x abyss defiant (sharded a few)
1 x pulse rifle
2 x black hammer (sharded a few as well)
1 x shotgun
1 x machine gun

want - hand cannon and rocket launcher

so i need to run both until i get the rocket launcher then just run hard?

What I do on my only 32 is jump into a NM Crota checkpoint just for the chance to get BH or HoC, then run the HM raid on full for the chance of getting the WoC and Crux. Can be a pain if you forget and run HM first as you lose the chance for the Secondary/heavy weapons this reset :p

As I learned last night :o

I shall be doing deathsinger and crota on NM

The lamps and bridge on HM

I think I could do HM fully with my warlock when it hits 32, my hunter just seems too weak and I don't have the right helmet that gives you health for picking up orbs.

We all good for tonight? What characters is everyone thinking about bringing along? The missus is away most of the night so, if we finish HM super quick, would anyone be up for a quick NM as well?

I'll be on from about 18:00 for Nightfall/Weekly if anyone else is around for that.
