** TITANX **

for the older buyer it's not the money that's the problem, it's their non-enthusiast partners that are the problem. spending the thick end of four grand on four of these will, in many cases, result in a headshot or insta-gib. in some cases perma death.

I don't have that problem but I am aware that my forum account is probably older than the age of some of the people posting here and who don't understand that you get more money as you get older but you get a lot more problems.

some of the people here will be risking divorce by buying these.

out of most material objects you can spend £4k on, the Titans will depreciate slower than pretty much anything I can think of from new. you go and spend £4k on hifi equipment, clothing or some other consumer goods purchase and watch the spanking you get in 1 year.

Lucky I am single with very few commitments.:)

Same here, save some money each month, have some set aside and then have the rest to spend on what I want.

I'm looking at getting three (one for each screen is my rough guide) but need to work out what I want to do about cooling as I'm not sure if the current set up I have running 3x670's will cope so it will cost even more when you add new case/rads and the theres the blocks/fittings/bridges etc. I might just get them blocked up and plumbed in and see where I get to temperature wise which would be easier with the QDC's.

I'm also keeping an eye on the 390X details/rumours/tea leaves/pine cones/seaweed as I would not rule out three of those but I'm not sure that after the kind of polished support Nvidia give I could wait for drivers/fixes etc

Or just agree with the Wife that you want to spend some money.

Wife is going to Ibiza in June with the "girls". We agreed I could spend the equivalent of whatever she spends on PC upgrades. :D

Just waiting for AMD to do something(DO SOMETHING FOR THE LOVE OF TECH DO SOMETHING!)

Really? I don't do debt(other than mortgage) but I do use credit cards. I have 2, both do cashbacks. Both however also set to be automatically repaid in full each month. Over the course of the year the cashback mounts up if you use them for most purchases. Point being used in the right way they can make a little money for you, albeit very little

I have plastic cards but with no overdraft (I'm not native english btw born in S.A. though) I just try to avoid debt like the plaque. As long as you plan how to repay wisely it's a non-issue imo.

My wife has no idea what I upgrade to and how much it costs. The only thing I burn money on is my car expenses and my PC hardware.

No joint accounts and such which is a + . She doesn't like me gambling so yeah heheheh, trade-offs I guess.

Am I lucky? probably :D

More for Gibbo really,

There were two Inno3d Titan X cards on the site yesterday morning but they disappeared later.

Any reason?? as the ichill Titan X looks awesome.

I think the OCUK Titan X's are Inno3ds (Gibbo can give us an idea) and the one with that iChill AIO cooler was probably not allowed by NVidia I guess?

I did think they had jumped the gun a bit. However the spec's on the site make it out to be virtually silent.

I guess the reviews will sort that out...

One more thing.

Has anybody ever hacked a AIO loop and put there own custom loop using the water block?

With the pump in the block I'm not sure on the pump specs or the flow rate you would get putting extra blocks/rads in the loop.

AIO's have their place as replacements for air cooling and are good in confined spaces but if there's even a chance that you'd want to expand in the future you should spend about the same on a pump/res/block.

NVIDIA have not authorised Inno3D, KFA2 or Zotac to sell in the UK market. :(

Gibbo can I have mine before Greg ?

I'm willing to pay more :D

Well those who ordered EVGA within the first like literally two minutes should get a card next week with a lot more EVGA arriving the following week. EVGA pretty much shipped all their stock to just two retailers, ourselves and one other, both of who sold out the initial allocation within 5 minutes of going live.

EVGA are working on getting a lot more stock into Europe by next week or so. :)

Next week arriving in FREE stock I shall have:

Asus: about 5 units spare at current.
Gigabyte: loads of units spare at current so a great one to grab.
MSI: about 10 units spare at current.
OcUK: about 10 units spare at current.

In short if your not focused on brand, then middle of next week we expect huge volume of Gigabyte so ordering Gigabyte now should see you with a Titan X in your hands by next weekend. :)
