When I played the alpha there was an NPC that would roam the bridge but I never saw him when I played that bit in the main game, odd

Same, also noticed a character missing, instead there's a dog wondered whether the dog killed the character ?

Cant get past Vicar Amelia and the reckoning bell doesn't work there so I cant summon anyone to help. Any advice?

I helped someone else there so surely the bells work? I had to stand back from the fog a bit for the bell to highlight and become usable? I didnt summon help mind but if someone summoned me it must work somehow! Was a bitch ;)

iv honestly stood everywhere I can and its always greyed out and wont let me use it.. which is annoying as its the first boss iv tried to use it and its not working lol. Iv got the boss to about 5% but cant get him back to that much. I think I keep playing it too safe and keeping a distance from him maybe I just need to keep close more and be more aggressive.

That was my tactic mate, nice and close and hit to recover health lost

I haven't/can't even make it to the first boss so most are doing better than me. Just tried to kill a big thing with an axe, didn't even scratch it.

not really enjoying. Just not my type of game. I was never really interested in it before it was released so not really sure why I bought it. Just crying out for a some games for my ps4.

Me thinks it will be sold by this weekend.

Has anyone else melee damage dropped drastically? I beat the first boss and got a wee bit further on and now I'm doing about a third of my original damage?

Just a small tip regarding upgrading, don't worry about wasting upgrade material like blood shards or even twin blood shards, you will find loads during campaign, can be farmed and bought later on. I was being a bit stingy at first as didn't want to waste them on my standard choice weapon, thought id save them till I find something better.

So try out different weapons, upgrade them and remember different weapons are effective against different enemies / bosses.

Ok so put a lot of time into this now!

Just beat the 2nd boss, I have to say I found the 2nd 'level' WAY easier than the first, which seems unusual. Equally both bosses have been easier than a lot of the normal encounters, when there's only 1 enemy it's much easier to dodge and counter etc.

So far liking it a lot, but finding the RPG elements very confusing. I saved up and bought the Kirkhammer, which stats wise is higher rates than my saw but it's pants? Normal attacks do much less damag so I'm a bit confused wit the system now tbh. Also it's a real shame you don't get a +/- indicator in the shops, hard to tell whether armour is better or not.

Reminds me of a slower paced Ninja Gaiden. Similar difficulty so far and same style of map memorisation and shortcuts etc. I would LOVE an HD remake for NG at some point!

just as the enemy, just do it on the big ogres no need for the draggling, fire your gun when the have their weapon in the air, it will stun them, hold down R1 for a second or 2 and you'll just about take the goon out in one hit. Takes practice.

Upgrade your armour by returning to the refuge when you have enough blood points, essential imo.

oh and use fire bottles(moltive) on the tougher enemies like the 2 wolves on the bridge, get their health down with one throw and tear them to pieces, one at a time if possible.

You can't upgrade armor can you, only weapons?

Just downed the 3rd boss with a friend, did all the others alone so it was a nice chance of pace and it was a good battle. Did it once with him helping and then again me helping him so we both got it.

While he went to the toilet though after i summoned him, another player invaded and killed him while he was afk. I then killed the invader after a lot of dodging with a few 2handed axe blows and it was stupidly good fun.
