*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

So I got this yesterday and tried this last night...never played Dark Souls 1 or 2.

This is hard, I may need to farm blood so I can level up...managed to get to the first 2 bosses but cant do either of them! Dont want to cheat just yet with me only playing it for the first time

What should i be leveling up?

Vitality and Endurance to start with and once they've hit 40, starting upgrading the others depending on your play style.

learn to dodge, time your attacks, don't get greedy :)

Had a moment last night where I just stopped and realised how awesome the world/level design is. Just wish I got to play more than an hour or two every other day. I guess this way does prolong the experience. :)

I really hope they tweak the PvP, co-op is fine but PvP seems like you have to wait and age before finding anybody to invade. Plus once the bosses are cleared and the bell woman has been killed I don't think you can invade? I didn't get invaded once in my playthrough, I know that the covenants fight each other when summoned but I've not experienced that either.

When I have invaded the combat against other players feels good, the ability to heal as an invader is actually a good move in think. Most people I've invaded have been in co-op so they really come after you to finish the job of they get the advantage. The Burial Blade is a beast in PvP, a few times now I've managed to cut down two players at once with the wide swings.

This game is definitely kicking me in the butt. I decided to go down to the woods and got wrecked by just about everything there, so went and did the first chalice thing.

Got to floor 3 and now I appear to be getting even more badly wrecked.

11/10

Keep getting wrecked by blood starved beast after getting him to around 1/3 health. Parry pretty much stops working and can't get near him to hit him without him going crazy and wiping me out. Frustrating game.

Get a good ranged weapon and aggressively dodge forwards and to the side when he comes for you. You should be able to get a good few whacks in before he turns around.

I'm really struggling with Amelia she just keeps smashing me and i can never find anyone when i ring the beckoning bell to assist in beating her :(
I was thoroughly enjoying the game till i met her despite dying a hell of a lot but now i'm just getting frustrated.

First game in a long time that I constantly want to play, took down the big multi-legged thing Amglaygagugagusguag today and then went exploring the witch area to see if this Cainhurst Invite would kick in, took a while to find the right spot.

Trying to not read any guides or spoilers on this game which is making me think I am missing a lot as the only NPC's I've met who aren't hiding are a guy called Alfred and the folks I sent to the Ward.

Will see more in the next play through I'm sure.

I personally levelled vitality up a fair bit in the beginning, stops you getting 1/2 shotted by pretty much most enemies (especially bosses).

I had the same problem, ended up just bypassing her and doing the Witches and that area first. Came back after levelling a few times and beat her relatively easily.

I did it on my third go. The trick is to stay close to her, and whenever she attacks you dodge the her rear and get a couple of swipes in. I used fire paper throughout which seemed to speed things up.

What seemed to cause me the problems were that I wasn't doing enough damage to stop her healing, so it was a war of attrition and I could never get her low enough to finish the job. Once my damage went up, she didn't even get a chance to heal.

If anyone needs help with any of the bosses or getting through any areas then I'm at a level range where I can co-op pretty much anywhere. I've cleared everything now so I'm just doing co-op, PvP and finishing the chalice dungeons. Seems I can co-op from Cathedral Ward & Vicar Amelia all the way to the end of the game.

Ugh. BSB. Use antidotes, die when he's got about 15% left, repeat, run out of antidotes, farm & buy more, repeat.

Bit annoying it seems that enemies don't tend to drop antidotes!

Anyone tried a solid state for this game ( I know it's not healthy fort the ssd long run) I heard it can shave off 15 seconds on the load screen ? I was wondering if formatting a fresh 5400 rpm drive and only having this game installed at the edge of the platter might speed it up also ?

On another note what does insight do again ? it makes the enemies harder ? and how do you lower it in that water thing in the hunters dream ? upstairs looks liek a bird bath and theres a hiollow tree stump up top behind the building
