Nope, my first thought was Cersei as surely he knows what has happened in Kings Landing and now Daenerys kicked him to the curb he could be a knight again. It did occur to me after that it would be Daenerys but going to be interesting to find out where Jorahs loyalty now lies.

Thought it was an intresting episode too with the brewing battle between Cersei and Margaery.

It's not merely a question of loyalty. Remember that Jorah is in love with Daenerys. The relationship wasn't just a working one. Jorah actually loves her.

Therefore it seems logical that he will go to Daenerys.

I thought he meant cersei at first as he was told to do one by daenery didnt think about him going back to her tbh but makes sense i guess. I expected jon to show mercy aswel glad he didnt tbh also arya sstoryline is keeping me intrigued aswel

It is about loyalty, Jorah was only loyal to Daenerys because he loved her. The way she kicked him out due to his original task with no consideration for what he actually did it could go either way. He could use Tyrion to get back in with Daenerys because he loves or he feels so broken hearted / betrayed by her he goes back go Kings Landing.

I had forgotten about that bit with Jon. I got the impression he wanted to lead out of respect but it is turning he may have to lead through fear. Though I can see Jon being the leader the watch requires not the one it wants.

So when are these treacherous Boltons going to get what's coming to them? I'm guessing Sansa eventually finds out Theon (Reek) is captive and kicks off...

I'm really hoping Sansa manages to do some real damage to the Boltons, God knows when Arya will be back. I can see Jon "Leading" the wildings to stop a white walker attack at the end of the series.

A better episode this week. Picking up now I feel. One question.

At the end when Jorah grabs Tyrion, he says he's taking him to the queen. I thought Daenerys said she never wanted to see him again?*

he doesn't say which queen, though you might well be right...in which case it is an angle to get back in her favour, or alternatively it could be his ticket back to westeros... then again he got his pardon from westeros already (which caused Daenerys to exile him) so unless he is just after the reward it is him trying to win favour with Daenerys

Am quite keen to see what happens when Sansa discovers Reek, will we see a violent side to her - surely she'll want him dead. Also Brienne and Pod must surely attempt a rescue again at some point.

*have removed the spoiler tags as that isn't a spoiler - the whole point of the thread is discussing what has just happened in the show... am pretty sure the 'No Spoilers' in the thread title refers to book people revealing things.

Book talk:

Sansa and the boltons doesn't happen in the book at all does it? I thought she stays hidden at littlefingers birthplace while he plays politics with the riverlands?

Ive got a feeling he will change his mind and becomes a stark and uses the wildlings to take the north back....maybe im just wishful thinking

Jon had to kill Sydney to meet and engender respect. Sylnt was a coward, and not only that but refused to follow an order from the Lord commander, even going as far to insult Jon. To not execute him would have undermined hus fresh powerbase, and by doing so he showed that while he was a fair and do end man, he was willing to do what it takes to be a strong leader.

There was nothing more he could have done to get the men's respect, and the fear is in this case just a healthy byproduct.

I assume Jorah was talking about Daenerys, mainly because Cersei isn't a queen. Surely even that far away he'd know that Tommen is the king?

Also, interesting theory going around about Jaqen H'ghar (I'll spoiler it in case people don't want to see the speculation):

There's a theory making the rounds that Jaqen H'ghar is actually Arya's sword trainer from King's Landing, Syrio Forel. We didn't see him die, and the first time we meet Jaqen he's in a prisoner convoy being wheeled out of King's Landing. Jaqen knew Arya's name without having to ask, and both men are from Braavos. Also, in this episode Jaqen says "there's only one God, a girl knows his name". Syrio had previously said to Arya that "there's only one God and his name is Death". Plus, it would be a great fake-out if the face we assume to actually be Jaqen H'ghar is just another one of his assumed disguises.

I assume it is Daenerys but then I also assume they left it delibrately vague.

I don't think you need to spoiler speculation, interesting idea though. I can't remember if we know who trained Syrio? I don't see it as impossible but I think unlikely. The only one God could be like the Valar Morghulis / Valar dohaeris in that it is a common(ish) saying in Braavos.

Very good episode this week. Opened up some interesting avenues. Namely....

I think Baelish pretty much confirmed that Jon Snow is indeed Rhaegar and Lyanna's son. And it looks like Baelish is also supporting Stannis and is plotting against the Bolton's. Did Baelish really love Caitlin so much that he could be plotting revenge for her death?

So I guess it was intended to be a red herring that Jorah was taking Tyrion to Cersei, and instead going to Daenaerys.

Kind of ironic how that is where they were wanting to go anyway. I wonder what Varys is up to.
