There was me thinking that the Unsullied were some superior army with awesome fighting skills and who don't feel pain, yet they get slaughtered by a group of people with knives and short swords. That ending just didn't make sense.

Funny thing is in that situation it would have been an easy win with their training - form up and wall charge one side with the advantage of shield and spear and then take on the other side. (Tried and tested tactic).

I think the idea was they were outnumbered in unfamiliar territory however.

I think Baelish pretty much confirmed that Jon Snow is indeed Rhaegar and Lyanna's son.

And it looks like Baelish is also supporting Stannis and is plotting against the Bolton's. Did Baelish really love Caitlin so much that he could be plotting revenge for her death?

I think he clearly loved her and probably does want to look after Sansa, however his priority is himself rather than revenge. So while he might well be plotting against the Boltons/Freys it will be mostly for his own personal gain.

Is anyone else worried by them starting to change things from the books?

I would have thought the book storyline for Ramsey Bolton marrying fake Arya is building up to something so seems strange to change it for the show and have Sansa turn up there to marry him.

Sending Jaime to Dorne also seems to depart massively from the books. Although I suppose he might end up there eventually anyway.

I think the opposite, it actually makes it less interesting because you're losing interesting story arcs by the changes they have made so far.

Perhaps, but on the flipside, you have other interesting avenues opening up and it's fun not to know what's going to happen all the time.

I guess it's only a bad thing if you really wanted to see certain things played out on screen.

nope, I think it is a good thing... amusingly the show could potentially spoil things for book readers now or alternatively they'll just take different paths so storylines/branches that appear in the books and have been omitted from the show can still have importance

I wasn't previously a book reader until this series, in the previous series I guessed that Brienne would find one of the Stark girls and speculated it would lead to an encounter with little finger or a fight with the Hound... Hound and **** were close by as was Sansa. I think people relying on the books just didn't see that coming at all as it didn't happen in the books.

It does look like Brienne is clearly going to attempt to rescue Sansa again now.
