I agree about the oncoming winter never seeming to really be taken seriously. The Walkers battled (slaughtered) the Crows and then apparently wandered off back to their Fortress of Solitude to watch that baby get transmogrified/fitted with funky, new contact lenses. Hey, it's not like they're in a hurry though.
What rankles me is the fact that several members of The Night's Watch have had VERY close encounters with the Walkers and their army of the dead but still seem curiously untroubled by the whole thing. It's almost like it's a bit of a pain but nothing to get truly worked up about. Now, talking about libraries, that's important.

Also, Tyrion sees a live dragon. A creature suposedly gone from the world and capable of unimaginable destruction and doesn't even muster a "WTF?!?!?!?!" I know they go attacked by the stone men soon after but even so.

It's surprising to see one, but surely news would have travelled from afar that Daenaerys has dragons. Little birds and all that. Tyrion must have heard it sometime.

The look on his face said it all for me!

It was mentioned in earlier seasons that they believed the dragons to be small, baby dragons rather than full size

No sure why you guys are hiding that part... It's been aired lol. The look on his face was worth a thousand words Tbh.

BRING ON THE DRAGONS, BABY!

Edited for clarification :p

Typical GoT, slowly getting better as the season continues.

Missus and I now play games when we watch it, placing bets what type of characters will die in this episode, major, minor or background, including time +/- 5mins.

Great fun.

Yeah, good point. On reflection (and second viewing) it it better leaving it to Dinklage's good acting, rather than having some clunky dialogue shove it down your throat.

I stand by my views about the events North of the Wall though.

Quick question about the Stone Men touching thing -
We didn't see Jorah touched but I guess we have to assume it was during the rescue. Wasn't Tyrion also touched? After going overboard he was grabbed by the ankles and dragged down by one of the SM.

presumably only touched his boot/clothing

yeah a bit odd to be putting spoiler tabs around stuff that has been aired

I love the fact Stannis is a grammar Nazi. So fitting for the character.

:rolleyes:fewer :D

I put spoiler tags round my earlier comment to guard against those people who come into threads like this before they've watched the episode and then moan that they've had it spoiled for them by thoughtless meanies. I regard it as a "Care in the Community" spoiler notice. ;)

I'm surprised we've not seen Bran yet this series. I expected to see him this week just cos we hadn't so far. Perhaps the fact he'll have another of puberty means they don't want him on camera again? :p

Edit: Having just googled it appears he won't be in season 5. Odd choice.

I'm kindof preferring the longer segments for each character, it feels like their plots advance more each week than when we had around 10 locations/characters each episode

They have pretty much caught up with the books in his story. So likely giving themselves time to sort out what happens next.

We haven't seen anything of the starks that went north of the wall to find the White walkers and yet we are half way through the season :(
