I never truly understood the scale of how bad it was until this episode, the rest of the story lines seem feeble in comparison. All we've seen before now lead me to believe they were a threat, but nothing which couldn't be handled, now it's pretty evident that Westeros is pretty much screwed.

Nothing 3 fire breathing dragon couldn't handle surely...just torch them all from the skies?

Oh god I can't remember

Edit - valyrian steel forged in dragonfire.. Makes sense.

It is a sword made of valyrian steel, as was the stark family heirloom, ICE, which tywin melted down and made into two Lannister swords, one Jamie gave to Brienne, and one Tommen has.
It is a rare metal, very good swords are made from it, and it was from ancient Valyria, Danys place.

So that steel, and dragon stone will stop the walkers, but what will stop the walker boss. Who they seem to be naming something which might confuse a few who have read the books and recall one historical story.
I don't think the two names relate to the same person, one should be vastly older than the other.

I'm just wildly speculating but... the thing that happened to the other valyrian steel sword of house Stark and how it was re-forged?
[edit - beaten to it]

Valyrian steel (a.k.a. dragon steel)

So whats jons sword made out of? I know it was a gift off whatever his name was I cant remember.

Edit: already posted as I was writing my post

Did the giant swim or drown..was expecting him turn into a Walker tbh.

Also when the white Walker lifted his arms I thought the sea was going to freeze

Really enjoyed the tyrion scenes, great character.

When they made the comment about the people staying behind having no food I had a feeling the zombies would be coming, but not so soon, nearly squealed when they turned up haha!

Yeah I was worried about the giant, long swim for him!

I was about to start whinging about how unevenly paced compared to previous seasons S05 is and how heavy handed writing for this season became with the whole "I'm going to spell it out for you by whacking the audience repeatedly with terribly soapy 'back of the class pay attention' dialog" we've been fed for couple of weeks now, then Jon Snow shore landing happened. Now (whacks table repeatedly to accent every word) that's the GoT I'm used to, why can't we have some of that at least once every fortnight?

As well as the cost it would also get pretty boring. You need to build and develop things for the action to work. Just watch a Michael Bay film to see how not to do it.

If Dany stops faffing around in Essos, maybe, also if she can tame all 3 dragons. 1 has gone rogue, and the other 2 are chained up, she has no control over them right now.

Great episode! Saw the token strong female character thinking Jon would be getting a new piece of ass but then....
eaten by zombie kids
. Didn't see that coming.

How does one make dragon glass then?
