As much as I am a fan of (well, the older series mostly) Walking Dead, I don't think you can really compare the two in terms of scale or..really anything else actually.

More of a tongue in cheek comment. Just amazed at the boring filler people put up with on WD and then forget about for a few moments of OMG action towards the end of each season.

GOT is leagues ahead...although some moments in this season have been cringe inducing...Jamie/Bronn vs the sand snakes for example

What an episode. Srsly.

IMO the best battle we've had in GoT, better than the Blackwater & the Wall in terms of effects, drama, tension, fighting, storytelling - the lot. That moment when the White Walker realised his sword didn't shatter Jon Snows' - his face was absolutely priceless. Right now it seems that every other storyline in the show is quite insignificant and Westeros is well and truly ****ed.

The zombie kids were creepy as ****. Night King is pretty badass raisin' dem dead.

Cersei licking the floor was brilliant, have that you whore. It seems that Qyburn is still working on his 'project'.

Quite enjoyed the interactions with Tyrion and Dany; two damaged kids having a nice conversation about their crazy fathers. Also it seems Dany will eventually get her ass in gear and attempt to conquer Westeros by hook or by crook, I guess depending if she can tame her dragons.

My only concern is that this season has peaked, lets be honest here, the last 7 episodes has been fairly flat. Sure, there have been quite a bit of plot development for some characters but some have been static (Where the hell is Bran?!).

Like the red wedding before it, all the budget has gone now for this season, the next 2 episode is going to be Medieval Eastenders, again.

I am hoping I am wrong and they got enough left in the bag of a big season finale.

Without straying too much into book territory there should be some extremely interesting things happening at the end of this season that don't require epic battles or huge budget.

Seems to much of a coincidence that Dany is struggling to control her dragons while Bran can control any animal.

Did anyone else find the scene when the winter and walkers start to get near really eerie and tense?

What's the difference between white walkers and the zombies?

Yeah, fair point. I definitely agree on the Jamie/Bronn and sand snakes side of things too.

Nobody really knows what the walkers are but the zombies are basically people that have died beyond the wall and then been reanimated by the walkers.

Brilliant episode, the whole thing felt extremely tense from the beginning like it was building up to something and it was! Westeros looks screwed!

I think it is a safe assumption it is the mountain, mostly because Tywin was dead whereas the mountain was badly injured but at least alive.

Something I got reminded about watching the last episode, does Pycell ever do anything? I got reminded of the scene in the first season (I think) where he was in his own chambers and stands up straight and moves around a lot and more easily yet every time we have seen him since he has been his usual hunched over self.

To start with he was pretending to be old and infirm but in the books at least, his stay in the cells left him actually very ill and feeling his age more. I'm not 100% sure if it's still an act or not in the TV but either way he has certainly been sidelined until now.
