*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Thats where I'm at. I wouldn't want a standard S6, the Edge was the only option for me.

I get a lot of aesthetic pleasure from my Edge so worth the extra to me.

I had the money for the edge version if I wanted it. I just didn't find it aesthetically pleasing at all. Just looked like the screen was warped.

Neat tech no doubt but not really aesthetically pleasing if you ask me.

Also as there is no 32gb version, you are paying for the extra capacity whether you need it or not.

I'm the same, was going to buy the edge but hated it. Felt and looked stupid, but loved the standard s6......and still loving it

I'm getting an S6 on Tuesday.

Virgin finally sorted their act out with their computer systems. I have a perfect credit record with them, but somehow failed a credit check twice for an S6.

They phoned me today to offer me a rubbish LG phone, I said I wanted an S6. The lady agreed there was no reason for me to be refused, so she ran the check again and bingo, passed straight away. She told me that when they had their systems upgrade a couple of months back, people were getting refused left right and centre. Turns out for about a month their internal credit scoring wasn't working, and they had to go external for all their phones. My external rating is not great I admit. Bet it cost them some dough.

Does anyones S6 continually loose compass calibration?

I go into the service menu or what ever it is called by dialing *#0*#. From here I go into the sensor menue and wave my phone around until the compass is claibrated on all three axis and I have a blue needle. A day later the compass has lost claibration on all three axis and shows a red needle and the number 0.

It really frustrating that evry time I want to use google maps I have to calibrate the compass.

Is there a fix for this?

Did you notice the article about Samsung registering a trademark for Galaxy s6 Note at the bottom of the above?

Lol I see from the Note 5 thread that you did.

Feeling kitted out with the s6 the Choetech Stadium wireless charger is great as is the Samsung s view case, the charger works well with the case on, coming from my s4 with spigen slim armor view i need a case with sleep function and s view.

I've finally given in and removed location history, which seems to be about 2%/hr better on battery.

Interesting, I never have location services on unless I need it, this could explain why I have non of the battery issues other folk complain of plus the absence of facebook and twitter et al.

Bah, I have the samsung sensor. Interesting article on the differences here between the Sony and Samsung sensors, with comparable photos. Not a huge difference, but the Sony definitely makes pictures look a bit better.

99p s-sline case on a £500+ phone? :D

come on spend a little more!

£2 actually :p I completely agree though. It's not that I would begrudge spending a lot more on a case, but it's only because of the textured side grip that I bought the s-line. I'm too scared to use anything without that, I just know I'd drop the phone.

And I spoke too soon, Phone munched 70% battery overnight with nothing showing in battery status.

Time to investigate.

Got my S6 on Saturday and initially had the same happen, on 3 separate occasions the battery fully discharged for no apparent reason, I've since done a factory reset and wiped the system cache and so far it seems to be fine now!

hehe, i had a few cases and i really liked this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spigen-Hybr...34114869&sr=8-4&keywords=spigen+neo+hybrid+s6

feels good, nice grip, would protect phone if dropped, lay on table design (screen protected), camera protected.
